So you will have 4 years at renewal next time.
You enter your NCD at the renewal date when doing on line quotes, not as it stands on the day you get the quote.0 -
:DTried all the comparison sites for fully comp. Best quote was Aviva through Quidco for £312 including £50 cashback. Thanks to mention on here, I tried Civil Service Insurance Society. Their quote incl NCD protection, courtesy car, £100 excess and legal was £289. I'm over the moon plus you can pay monthly without APR. Brilliant!! You do need to be a civil servant or work for public services.0

My renewal is due in the next couple of months and like lots of people I'm finding there is a pretty big jump this year (was £420 best quote so far is £730).
If I add my Dad as a named driver it takes about £100 off the price but I live in Liverpool, he lives in Glasgow - is this likely to cause a problem? I go home every so often and he may occasionally drive my car but he has his own - will it matter?......0 -

Hi I'm 22, female, and need insurance for myself and my partner (23,male) including business use for both of us (NOT just commuting). I'll have 1 year NCB at renewal, got a 1.4 04 reg fiesta, cheapest i'm finding is £600 with admiral after adding my dad on (then £30 cashback on quidco)
Any tips I may have missed?Excuse any mis-spelt replies, there's probably a cat sat on the keyboard0 -
Another vote for the CSIS (Civil Service Insurance Services). I am ex-civil servant and I had received quotes through independent and comparison sites. Cheapest £185 up to over £500 (Sheilas Wheels??). Just got quote for me and spouse fully comp on my little nissan micra for £141 but I opted for the breakdown cover at £63 (my existing breakdown expires next mont) which includes homestart as it totals around £200 for them both. Plus I am paying monthly direct debit and they don't charage any more. Am very happy with that.0

Another vote for the CSIS (Civil Service Insurance Services). Better than Sheila's Wheels, also monthly installments at 0%apr.

Hello guys. I am looking to insure my car WV Passat 2000 Se 1.9 tdi and I can't find anything lower than 1100 pounds (on churchill) for one year which is too expensive for me.
I am 47 years, never insured a car before and with full EU license.
Is it really that expensive or I'm doing something wrong?0
