    Someone please kindly respond.

I have contacted VCS again today. The lady told me that I can only make the payment to DCBLegal. But I called them yesterday DCBLegal wanted me to contact the DCBltd.

What should I do now? Should I just make the payment with them?

I have been told I must pay £950 as the client gone to court. I was heart broken and a manger spoke to me from DCBltd. She agreed to email me the calculation and agreed to email me the proof of payment once I paid.

As I understand things, ALL you are liable for (if you are still within the CCJ payment window) is what the Court ordered you to pay. Any additional enforcement charges are not eligible just yet.

But I am not a lawyer - maybe @bargepole or @Johnersh can clarify?

Please see below, this what they emailed to me when I cried saying I need have something in writing before I pay this ridicules amount. Date of notice issued on 16/3/22 today!! There are no other option I have since I tried to pay the amount via the claimant and dcbl. DCBltd asking to pay this amount which is even £10 addition to what I have been told by them on 26/2/22 and the lady told this was applied to the high court on the 22/2/22. Shall I pay them? I can move further with the set aside right?

Make sure if (when) your set aside is heard, and you hopefully win, that you request a refund of all monies paid (in total, so SA fee plus what you've just paid - not just the judgment amount, the whole amount paid). Explain that the original judgment was grossly overinflated and merely having costs reserved (until the original claim is re-heard) puts you at a significant financial disadvantage, especially given that it is not unknown for claimants to discontinue the re-hearing of the claim in such situations.

I spoke to the court today, they told me that the set aside now won’t go further since I paid but I can steal appeal by completing another form. She agreed to email me but I still not received any.

Do you have any idea how I can proceed with the appeal?

I've no idea what the county court and VCS have done to you. I've no idea what the stupid woman at the CCBC is talking about.

I think you should complain to the SRA about DCBLegal refusing to take payment of £750 within the 30 day period and instead pushing you to their bailiff arm, despite knowing you'd applied for a set aside and were within 30 days of judgment.

I wondered the same - it sounds like the CCBC person simply didn't have a clue and was making it up as they went along.
