Please help- Please help !! PCN from Vehicle control services ltd

Hi,
Please help.....

I recently received a pcn from vehicle control service for stopping in a bus stop (marked with single red line), for dropping off my husband lasts for less than 10 secs.

I have done the same to pick him up too, so I may receive another pcn soon.

What should I do? Should I ignore or appeal? :(

    Was this at an airport?

If so read about PCNs on land covered by bye laws. Do not under any circumastances indicate whonwas driving.

Nine times out of ten these tickets are scams so consider complaining to your MP.

Parliament is well aware of the MO of these private parking companies, and on 15th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these shysters. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, an independent appeals service will be set up, and access to the DVLA's date base more rigorously policed, persistent offenders denied access to the DVLA database and unable to operate.

Hopefully life will become impossible for the worst of these scammers, but until this is done you should still complain to your MP, citing the new legislation.

Just as the clampers were finally closed down, so hopefully will many of these Private Parking Companies.

where did this happen ? an airport ?

read the NEWBIES FAQ sticky thread near the top of this forum, use the appeal template to appeal as keeper, no blabbing about who was driving

do not expect this to be cancelled, they will not cancel and may try court within 6 years , so no getting your hopes up, its a well known sc@m

Yes this happened in an airport compound. The road was marked with single red line but did not expect that few seconds will cost lot of money. What you suggest? Me complain to the MP before appealing or responding the the pcn?
    Thanks

do both , but its all a paper exercise, they wont cancel and will chase the money , a shame you did not name the airport despite being asked

its likely to be either RHA , or LJLA , or EMA

so it seems they have a couple of new sites, EMA and Southend, the advice given remains the same however , one initial appeal as keeper , then ignore

VCS have 6 years to try a court claim

I have also received one of the above from Southend Airport. As it's a "Stopping in a zone where stopping is prohibited" PCN, I assume the wording on the appeal changes slightly, especially on the following point:

"If the allegation involves an alleged overstay of minutes, your evidence must include the actual grace period agreed by the landowner. If you fail to evidence the actual grace period that applies at this site or suggest that only one period applies, this will be disregarded as an attempt to mislead. In the absence of evidence, it will be reasonably taken to be a minimum of twenty minutes (ten on arrival and ten after parking time) in accordance with the official BPA article by Kelvin Reynolds about 'observation periods' on arrival being additional and separate to a 'grace period' at the end."

Assume reference to parking changes to stopping?

    Thanks in advance

Please start a new thread for second airport. We are simple fold and are easily confused.
