Sorry but they are a member of ipc. Shall take off the popla bit from the letter and leave everything else ?
Nope, do what I told the other person to do.

Tell them that as this is Airport byelaws land, you will contest jurisdiction if they try a small claim in the county court and that by continuing, they accept the risk and liability for your costs in doing so, including the court fee for the application.

Then if they raise a court claim, you DO NOT follow the usual procedure, DO NOT acknowledge or defend, but instead you contest jurisdiction, using the wording in the UKPPO group Newcastle Airport thread.

It should stop it proceeding to a court hearing.

SoJacob, you are unlikely to get told a third time.

Both Coupon-mad and waamo have given you links to what your letter should look like.

As waamo said, post your draft letter here before sending.

    Dear sir/madam

I dispute your 'parking charge', as the keeper of the vehicle. I deny any liability or contractual agreement and I will be making a formal complaint about your predatory conduct to my MP Sir David Amess. There will be no admissions as to who was driving and no assumptions can be drawn.

You are no doubt aware that Southend airport is subject to byelaws 1997. This is not and cannot be a civil debt. Should you proceed with a civil case an application will be made to strike it out as the civil court lacks jurisdiction to hear such cases.

Having been warned that such an application will be made I will hold you fully responsible for all and any fees associated with this and apply for all costs due to your unreasonable behaviour.

    Kind regards

    How’s this ?
