A defence comes when you receive a formal court claim sent via the Northampton CCBC, but there's no reason not to start researching right now how to defend by reading the NEWBIES FAQ sticky, second post. A claim isn't far away, so no time like the present to prepare. Now is the time to issue your SAR request - again, the NEWBIES FAQ sticky, second post, provides you with a link to a template for you to use. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

As Umkomaas says above.
This is a Jake Burgess letter and this boyo loves to scare people ??
Burgess knows that a CCJ can only happen if you lost and did not pay ? If you lost, the court allows up to 30 days to pay and NO touching your credit file. Burgess is just a scaremonger
Why would you lose, VCS have a bad time in court because of the fake add-ons which is Abuse of process and no guessing who applies these fake charges ...... what a liability for VCS3 -
I’ve got a reply with debt collectors contact detail. Should I email them?0

No. I told you what to send in response to the LBC. Send it by post to VCS.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

You can remove things that aren't relevant if you wish.
You can only ask for your own personal data.
Don't forget to include proof of ID such as a copy of your V5C or two redacted utility bills. Don't send photo ID.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister. All my screwdrivers are cordless."You're Safety Is My Primary Concern Dear" - Laks2 -
Don't engage with debt collectors but keep the letters. There is evidence that these debt collection agents work on a no collection no fee basis. I have a copy of their web page and so do others so save the letters for evidence for when they try to scam a further £60.00 from you.
