Thinking of using CLF idea with the new fridge/freezer just to protect it from the oven:(
Only managed to have a fall and then nearly fell out of the wheel chair again later on yesterday
I'm sore today. All checked by the district nurse, stoma is working fine and no bleeding but need to be more careful. It just seemed to be disaster day yesterday.
Please be careful HK! We don't want you to hurt yourself!!
Reading up quickly on the fridge/oven situation... you will probably need some sort of proper thing to help protect the ff from the heat. I builder might know more. Essentially because the ff will have to work harder a lot of the time, it will break quicker
Until the new one comes, try to minimise the number of times you open the door - possibly get a smaller milk etc each day and just leave it out of the fridge so you don't have to open it?
Apologies if you know this already

Little update - instead of getting diesel at the garage on my way home, I drove maybe 500 meters past my house to Mr T. Saved 6p a litre which made a total saving of £2.47! Also lodger cooked left over bbq food for dinner tonight, so that’s two nights I haven’t had to use our food (or cook!)Debt as at 5 June 2023 - £15,600.89

Twiggy definitely worth the small extra drive IMO.
PurpleFairy I hope you feel less grumpy.
1LL You sound like you have such a positive and supportive relationship with your Dad

Reconcile just for points credit card
Other things:
Take snacks and drink with us for journey (food being provided)
Quick vacuum round
Sort some washing
Check £co. Possibly raise a case for something that's been overdue by several months
Check blueberries and raspberries and pick any due, check to see if they need watering
Have a good day. Purps.0 -
Morning all,
Just putting a quick list up to motivate myself. Was awake between 3.30 & 5.30 for no good reason. Bah! Caffiened up now though & RTG:
*Water greenhouse veggies.
*Check veg garden for any issues.... need to re-stake a few sweetcorn plants & weed the spinach.
*Pick more French beans.
*Investigate weather sufficient rhubarb survived recent downpours to make jam.
*Progress re-covering a cushion.... intend to shop from home for fabric if possible.
*Jacket potato night tonight. I fancy tuna melt & salad on mine. Mr F has liberated a box of leftovers from the freezer so I think an Epic Man Stew is on its way....
*Make packed lunch.
*Sort clean laundry & iron only what absolutely needs it.
*Knit
Also intend to have some leisure time doing a bit of family history & to take my book out in the garden with my lunch if it stays dry.
HK - Please take care of yourself!!

,2026's challenges: 1) To rebuild our Emergency Fund to at least £5k.
2) To read 50 books (12/50) 3) The Re-Shrinking of Foxgloves 8.1kg/30kg
Remember....if you have to put it on a credit card, extend your overdraft or take out a loan to buy whatever it is, you probably can't afford it, as that's not your money, it's somebody else's!0 -
Foxgloves I too was awake between 3:30-5:30, shortly after I finally got back to sleep an alert sounded on OH's phone, disturbing only me. This alert has awoken me a couple me times in the past, I've asked him repeated to ensure it doesn't happen again but it is a low priority for him. I'm feeling emotionally fragile and I've kindly wrestled the baton of grumpy from PurpleFairy and it appears to be embracing me.Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent

Morning all. Sorry to hear you both got a rubbish night's sleep.
Today I have/will:
Do washing up rather than OH (the tap runner!)
Use "old" toothpaste tube - yep got another load out that would normally have gone in the bin!
Check banks
Take lunch to work
Update spreadsheet
Look into free parking for hospital appointment
Check OnePoll and Prolific
Aim for a NSD
Cook dinner from stores
Make smoothie with water instead of OJ and see if OH even notices!
That's everything I can think of for now. Hope you all have a good day!Debt as at 5 June 2023 - £15,600.89

Update:
My big effort this evening was to sport through a box of art exhibition ephemera - kept about a third, will go on shelf in garage, and the personal negs and prints will to in my personal archives under stairs!
Hi ditty, have you ever used the adobe scan app? You can take photos of stuff with your camera and then resize etc... Just in case you didn't want to keep the original prints
