It's ok. Don't worry. I've only recently got back in.
You didn't follow the guide. There was no mention of signing up, nor a password within it.0 -
I needed that to register with postimages.gov as a new user.
I can right click on the image in my documents but I cannot right click and paste when trying to enter it on here. The paste facility is not highlighted.0 -

Nope. There is no need to register with https://postimages.org in order to utilise it.
None at all.
If Paste is not highlighted, it means that you did not copy the link in the first place.
Examples;

As you can see. No account.
Click on the blue icon at the end of the link in order to copy it.0 -

How can I post images to a forum?
Click the "Choose images" button on the main PostImage page.
Select the images you need to upload in the file browser that pops up. Once you click "Open", images will immediately start uploading.
After your images have been uploaded, you will see an admin gallery view. Click the second drop-down box to the left of the code box and select "Direct link". If you only uploaded one image, this option will be in plain view instead.
Click the Copy button to the right of the code box
Open your forum's post editor.
Paste the code copied from PostImage into the editor.0 -
