    Afternoon all :)
    Waiting for a shopping delivery - I was sent a 20% off code, and it seemed rude not to use it!
    Other things:
    Spent an hour on the phone (mostly on hold, it must be said) to both banks this morning as I had a phone call purporting to be from Visa telling me that my card had been used abroad in the last 15 minutes. Put it down as a scam and put the phone down, but used another phone to ring banks to check all was as it should be, just to be on the safe side. All fine, just a waste of time :mad:
    Cleared up kitchen
    Picked some beans, blueberries, raspberries and courgettes :)
    Watered plants that needed it in the back garden - despite the rain the other day, it is really dry again.
    No spending except for the supermarket delivery
    Still need to do some ironing, some cleaning, check the front garden plant tubs and cook the dinner - not feeling very motivated though!

    Today definitely did not go according to plan. I have spent most of the day either upset, angry or stressed. It started fine but deteriorated when I spoke to my solictor and was told no further progress will happen on the house until we can prove that we have served ex with the court order. That has just about destroyed me because having to pay for someone to find him is now a real possibility.

    Then got ds follow up scan today! With 90 mins notice. The problem is still there, with no sign of infection or stones - so we have been referred to a specialist. At least he is doing well health wise in the short term.

    After all that I didn't feel like doing anything but have managed a couple of things.

    [STRIKE]:p Hair appointment for me and ds[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]:p Declutter a minimum of 31 items (doing foxgloves decluttering challenge in reverse)[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]:p Continue with my diet and only eating food that I already have in[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]:p Write a list of essential holiday time buys (school uniform etc)[/STRIKE] dd has done hers but ds hasn't so it's an ongoing job
    :p Another load of washing
    [STRIKE]:p Hoover through[/STRIKE]
    :p Nap if I need to
    [STRIKE]:p Make sure ds takes his medication and stays hydrated[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]:p Look after ds bestie[/STRIKE] and allow them to play on Fortnite all day as I don't want ds out and about just yet.
    [STRIKE]:p Contact my solicitor for an update[/STRIKE]

    Hi August Austerity-Fans,

    Been quite busy in the real world. I blinked and a fortnight had flown by. Did you miss me?! :rotfl:

    Looks like DW is going to get a substantial tax refund. Something looks odd about the figure though. That's going to need further investigation.

    Work's been busy and, well, work-shaped. Lots of developments.

    Went to the cinema at the weekend and used company-organised discount as it wasn't a Meerkat-eligible day. Got stuck in traffic for an hour. Turned car enging off.

    Debt-Free-Nillionaire Continuity Plan Year Five:

    * Check online banking. Done.

    * Continue my Challenge 500 miles challenge to travel 500 miles for free before the end of 2019: walking, hiking, climbing, cycling, running and swimming. I'm up to 300/500. Done. This challenge is going really well. I'm ahead of schedule.

    * Clear out In Tray. Done.

    * Clear out wallet.
    Done.

    * Clear emails. Done.

    * Buy a big, cheap bag of crisps and divide into portions for work. Done.

    * Buy a bag of rolls and freeze in portions for work. Done.

    * Sourced cheap travel insurance. Done. Used MoneySupermarket.

    * Have been approved for a new credit card for emergencies.Done. Should entitle me to £21 cashback. Once received I will close the old one.

    Morning all: hello:

    Up early as we’re already out the door for a long road trip and we want to try and beat some of the traffic. Busy week but have managed some small things and some more today:

    Did a wash overnight, hung on surer before we left
    Triaged fridge, froze a couple of items
    Emptied fruit bowl and fridge to bring away with us
    Made hot drinks and refillable water bottles for the journey
    Check banking
    Moved interest to pennies account
    Gifted present and card from stash
    Picked raspberries from garden, they need to be staked but didn’t get time. Job for next week.

    Have a good day all. Purps.
  • Morning purps :D have a lovely break! Me & madam are LOVING our stacation! Today we are going to the beach, taking a picnic and no doubt will spring madam an ice cream. We are lucky to live in a part of the world that has so many beaches within a short distance but also lots of country spaces :D

    Other than that:

    * quick tidy up - still need to vacuum & polish madam's room
    * put away washing
    * make picnic lunch to take
    * water plants
    * maybe a load of washing if there's a full load
    * do some of my jumpsuit. I only have probably about 1 1/2hrs at most left and I'm putting it off! I've done the hard part of taking the seam apart and inserting a zip so not sure what is putting me off!
    * pay cc - I called my 0% cc and despite paying it on the day due at 6pm on a Sunday the payment went through and I haven't lost my 0% deal :D
    * pack up madam's overnight bag as she has a sleepover

    That's my lot for today

    ccl sorry you've been having a stressful time and hope that ds' health concerns turn out to be short lived x

  • trailingspouse I love your blog. Just read the new post - I feel quite inspired by you! Particularly your courage to venture out in to a new career (in case you missed it I work in a field that is no longer working for me, it's no longer a good fit with who I am, but I'm a little stuck with having the courage to break out in to something else. The loss of income and more status - I've slipped further and further down the career pole over the last few years - is a barrier for me at the moment)

    Morning all :coffee:
    I cannot explain how unmotivated I feel this morning. I didn't even want to open my eyes, never mind getting out of bed... It's just worry after yesterday but I am at least up and about for the moment. Really hoping for a better day.
    DS has asked if his bestie can come over again today so I said yes - but there's no sign of ds this morning as yet. It will be a nice surprise for him once he's awake.
    Not too many plans for the day - I notice ds has started his list of things we need to buy for him during the holidays so that's good.
    Other than that...
    :) Do a load of washing
    :) Declutter a minimum of 30 items
    :) All meals from stores
    :) Get a bit of crochet done (I didn't do any yesterday)
    :) Maybe take dd to buy her regulation school trousers
    :) Try not to stress if I can possibly help it
    :) Cancel home insurance renewal and find a better deal
    :) Triage the veggies in the fridge (why do I even have watercress - I can't stand it!)
    Have a good day all :wave:
