I have just started using the Spending App to track my monthly spending and hopefully shock me into how it disappears on crap!

Morning all, Not sure why but I can't get back to sleep so decided to get up and start on my to do list and hopefully grab an afternoon nap later to make up for it.

 go to the gym and make the most of my membership including filling up my water bottle there done
 ys bagels for the kids breakfast done
 apply a voucher to our now movies package as we are in the last month of our current deal - bought a nowtv box more then a year ago on a discounted offer but forgot about it and signed up for a years deal  hopefully this 4 month pass will still work! done
 once ^^^ is done, will add this now box to my cex to sell pile. done, should sell for £4 voucher
 may book another session for the kids trampoline place if they fancy it for this afternoon done, going at 3pm ended up being there 2hrs 15 minutes and the boys had the place to themselves for about half of that! They worked us a sweat!
    record cars mileage
 check banking done/update spreadsheet will have to do tomorrow as I'll need to load it up onto a different computer as dh's one has gone in for repair
 collect item from m&s foodhall that I'd ordered online - might leave this til tomorrow rather then heading out for an extra trip in the car tomorrow
 wash the kids bedding and hang out on the line to dry as I know we have rain forecast for the following day done
 wash a load of whites on the quick 30 degree wash done, hang out to dry done and then iron (its dh's work shirts so I know they'll be ironing involved! not done as we were out longer then expected
 make dh's lunch for Tuesday still to do
 cook 2 chickens in the oven at the same time (and send some over to my parents) may as well do it like this as the ovens going on anyway! will do tomorrow
 make a banana loaf as I've got several bananas that are over ripe for us as above
 make sure ds2 is doing what he needs to do with his online maths work, I want him to complete the year 6 review and preparing for secondary school clubs before his membership ends at the end of August. done, he's done well so looks like he's on track to complete :) I would highly recommend TheMathsFactor to anyone! its was created and fronted by Carol Vorderman and its been fantastic for my two boys.
 order more books for ds1 from the library online, much easier getting him to choose online and then collecting when they have what he wants! He often reads series of books so likes to make sure he has at least the first two books in a series in his hand and the subsequent ones on order as if he really enjoys a story he reads quickly! I used to spend a fortune buying books for the kids, so using our library saves us a fortune!
 triage fridge and meal plan around whats in there done
Also done a small load on the quick wash with darks as its nice a windy.

I'm sure I'll think of a lot more things to do today but that will be my starter!

    Have a good week all.
Sorry for extra post, it wouldn't let me edit my original one for some reason.

I've not managed a nap but we've had a nice day and the rain started about half an hour ago about 3 minutes after we'd arrived home which was great!

I've also booked a badminton court for tomorrow morning and arranged a birthday meal out for my dad too. Other then that its been lovely family time. Right dh is about to walk through the door so I'll catch up with you all tomorrow (hopefully after a full nights sleep!)
Sticking with the "Small things" thread to keep up us on the straight and narrow.

    Evening all :)
Thanks for starting us off 1LL, but my goodness, that WAS an early start
I have had DD + kids here for most of the day, so little got done:
2 loads of washing line dried :)
Made a loaf in the BM

Fed everyone from what we have in (though I will need to shop tomorrow)
Not a NSD, as I spent £3 on a toy for GD, and OH has been to the optician and needs new glasses, which cost almost 100 times that
Did a survey and didn't get screened out :T

OH took out 2 ropy tomato plants while I was occupied with kids - think they had blight :( Fingers crossed the others won't get it (they are in another part of the garden). He picked off the green tomatoes, which are all ok except for 2, so if it rains tomorrow as threatened, I will be making green tomato chutney!

Welcome to the new posters btw :)

    Morning Frugalistas,
The only things I will definitely do today are baking bread, dead heading my flower borders before the rain comes, make a freezer list (didn't get round to doing this yesterday) & today's decluttering. As for the rest of the day?
*Might cut & tie some herb bunches for drying.
*Might cut basil & make pesto.
*Might make a chilli sauce of some description.
*Might look for my favourite rhubarb & ginger jam recipe.
    *Might iron.... but probably won't!
    *Might write letter to friend.
    *Might enter a competition.
*Might make a new cushion cover.
Might do any or none of these things. Will see where the day takes me.
Expect everyone else is feeling a lot more decisive than me this morning.

2026's challenges: 1) To rebuild our Emergency Fund to at least £5k.
    2) To read 50 books (12/50) 3) The Re-Shrinking of Foxgloves 8.1kg/30kg
Remember....if you have to put it on a credit card, extend your overdraft or take out a loan to buy whatever it is, you probably can't afford it, as that's not your money, it's somebody else's!
