Evening have done lots of little things today, incl. fixing a puncture on ds son's bike, while he mowed lawn, biked into town to get bits and pieces,
Send some ££ to uni son, to help cover his train trouble caused by the heat last week. Told him to write the train people - but don't know if he will.
Dried clothes on line and rack - following the formula - it's drying more than its raining.
Bought specialty bulb at WI]ilc* - and it was broken when I got home. Don't know if I can take back.
About to go get some bacon for a pasta bake, so not really a NSD day, but a super productive day.
Have started decorating 2. third in back bedroom. Really need to get on with box elimination task. So I am now unofficially joining in with the decluttering task.

    Evening all :)
Spendy day today as I went to the dentist's and did the weekly shop. Also bought a top in a CS.
    Restocked sales unit

We have had lots of rain, and I got a bit wet walking to the post office with an ebay parcel this afternoon - I did pop in to the post office earlier when out in the car, but the queue was out the door, hence my soggy trip this afternoon.
Still, it brightened up on the way back, and I even stopped to pick some nice blackberries. Fortunately I had a plastic bag in my pocket to put them in (small benefit of being a dog owner :rotfl:

All food was from home (apart from the blackberries, but they were free) :)
Picked another courgette, some blueberries and raspberries for breakfast and a good handful of French and runner beans :)
    No watering needed today :T
Ditty, I would take that light bulb back!

    Hi All

Today's been a bit of a disaster here, had a really rough day - pounding headache and sickness so spent majority of it in bed and only got up to drink and try to eat, than lazed on sofa. Managed a couple of things since but am ready for bed now:

    Checked Bank & made PAD
    All meals from cupboards/fridge/freezer
    Checked: Lucky Bob, PMP, WinaDinner
    Swagbucks
DH posted RM survey stuff for me

    Night all x

  • Morning :D I'm up early and getting ready as madam wants to go in to town to spend her birthday money. I have talked her down from spending all of it but not leaving at 9!

AS she woke me at 6 I'm already on my third coffee! I've also tidied up the kitchen, unloaded and reloaded the dw and read the newsletter :D

    Still to do:

    * make sandwiches and fruit & water with us ;)
    * quick shower and get ready
    * take pup for a walk when he gets here at 8
    * park a bit out of town for free ;)
    * might take a top back I bought at the weekend. Need to try it on with a couple of other things first...
    * calling in to visit the outlaws after town
    * madam going to bff's for a couple of hours this afternoon - free childcare while I'm at an appt ;)
    * mince out of freezer for tea - will make massive batch of spag bol in the pc
    * bff and her children (one of which is an adult) coming for tea, allotment and hottub this evening
    * call cc provider

Ok that's all. If I get time I will flylady the hallway and vacuum my bedroom

Morning all. Enjoy your last day off Dottles1.

I seem to have three lists at the moment - what I've done (yay!!), what I need to do, and what I want to do. Shame list 2 and list 3 seem to be mutually exclusive!

    What I've done -

    - added this month's credit card spend to my spreadsheet, and given myself a pat on the back when I saw how low it was.

    - moved money across from my savings account to my current account to pay this month's tax bill, and paid the tax. It's due today, so I've left it in the savings account for as long as I possibly could! Will have to think carefully about what I'm going to spend the 20p interest on...
    - cleaned the bathroom
    - emptied the bins and sorted out the recycling. Bin day is tomorrow, so I need to remember to put the green bin out later today.
    - posted on the blog
    - watered the herbs on the kitchen window ledge.

What I still need to do -

    - hoover and dust Done

    - sort out the attic cupboard ready for the lodger to be able to use it for storage. I keep putting it off, as he's not moving in until 25th August - guess what I'm going to be doing on the evening of 24th August!! I've only been and gone and done it!! In the end it only took about 10 minutes - don't know why I'd been putting it off!

What I want to do -

    - I've just started work at the Science and Media Museum in Bradford, and they do a free tour of the archives on a Wednesday. Will cost me £3.40 return on the train, but everything else is free - and as I'll find it genuinely interesting for myself, plus I might pick up info that's useful for the job, what's not to love. It's great to work in a place that people go to for a day out!! Walked down to the train station - but the train was delayed so I'd have missed the start of the tour. Will try again another Wednesday.
    - gym this evening (to be fair, that's a want to and a need to!!)

Hope you're feeling better soon ziggy2407.
No longer a spouse, or trailing, but MSE won't allow me to change my username...

    Hi all,

Ziggy I hope you're feeling better this morning.

    Todays list
    # gym session and refill water bottle done
    # ys bread for kids breakfast done
    # make banana muffins to use up black bananas done
    # stew some fruit thats going over done
    # make dh's lunch for tomorrow done
    # wash a load on the quick 30 degree wash and hang out to dry done
    # load spreadsheet onto the ancient computer abandoned it as its not working, asked dh to bring his work laptop in tonight and will use that as a temporary soloution
    # check banking/update spreadsheet
    # rm surveys done
    # email cex about an incorrect item they've sent us done
    # print cex voucher off if I can get the printer to work, if not email it to dh to print at work
    # pick up prescriptions not mse but I need to remember! done
    # go to aldee with a little list and stick to it done
    # iron dh's work shirts as this got knocked off the list everyday this week so far done, switched off before starting the last one to make the most of the residual heat
    # put shopping away done
** packed up (using reclaimed packaging) another box of stuff to sell onto cex, this really is going to be the last one!!

    # print label for ^^ when dh gets home so that I can post it off tomorrow when I need to go to the post office for rm stuff anyway
** made a chicken curry to use up some mushrooms I bought ys this morning that by this afternoon didn't look great! had planned on using them for brunch tomorrow but at least they're not wasted now.
(had quite a bit of food waste here this week - very unusual for us and it really annoyed me, particularly having to bin 5 bread rolls yesterday that had gone mouldy  which then meant that dh has bought lunch today rather then taking from home so its a lose - lose
** blitzed the fruit I'd stewed with a bit of honey to make a puree, have then split it into 12 silicone muffin cases and frozen them and once frozen with add a spoonful of yogurt to the top and freeze again, this can then be the kids sweet treat for a few days! Yogurt on top and they look lush!
** making a big pile of mashed potato as the spuds needed using, think we will have curry with this instead of rice tonight

Thats my start, take care all
