Hi turtles
Hope everyone had a good weekend.
I spent sunday with a hangover which I was annoyed with myself about, but picked myself up today and went to the gym. Definitely have been doing more exercise lately.
Having 2.5 months off work is weird. I am managing to do things I don't usually get to do, however the boredom and self doubt is creeping in, what am I doing here, with my life in general all the usual, hehe
As for spontaneity and getting outside comfort zone, I'm enquiring about doing a course of aerial hoop here in Madrid, the camino was definitely up there with scary and oh and I wore a girly dress out the other night which was definitely not what I'd usually wear!
Trying to balance not wanting to drink alcohol with still being sociable and not staying in my room all day. Right now I'm in the library pretending to study spanish grammar, I know I should drag myself out later with my housemates later, I honestly don't want to drink so may just have a coca cola. ha
No NSD yet. Also savings are depleting although I have saved enough for an EF, deposit and rent until October and a bit more, so I shouldn't be too hard on myself. Need to adjust my signature to reflect how much I've spent from my holiday fund.Student loan £5655

Creeping in late, but can I have a number please. Once bought my mum a fridge magnet with a beautiful swan on it and the words 'I may always be late but I'm worth the wait' Will write up stuff later.NSD 1/3,
My mantra is After I ....I will. eg After I make my morning coffee, I will take my medication. Eventually this will become a habit,0 -
Wow this thread moves so quickly, I will have to make more of an effort to get on and keep up
Adventurising - went to the new gym solo for the first time yesterday, and made a prat of myself for not knowing I needed to scan my card again past the reception to get into the actual gym :rotfl: oh well...
Unplug - not so much over the weekend, but once I am home tonight I will set myself a time limit to be off of my laptop/phone
Generosity - going to have a sort through this week for the charity shop (there's always something to give)
Ugly and Useless - Will have a think on this one!
Spontaneity - Can't do much here today, it's planned out - work, cinema, home to bed :rotfl:
Think long term - trying desperately to opt back into my pension but the company are pants. I spoke to someone on the phone who said the option is online (it isn't) so I emailed and asked for the opt-in form he told me to ask for, and the reply I got was about what I could do now that I have opted out, so they clearly didn't read the email I sent properly. I am persevering!
NSD number two today, I needed to stock up on toiletries and some bits for the bathroom over the weekend, not got much else to buy this month now, though x0 -
NSD No 4
I have to confess to doing very little today apart from a bit of tidying . Himself is making dinner as well so I've been a real lazy lump. Still another NSD so that's good.
Mothernerd - Glad to see that DS3 and Beloved are finally helping out. Let's hope it continues.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.0 -
Hi all. Got back from Rome yesterday. That was definitely an adventure and got me right out of my comfort zone which was a big reason for going, it was just me and DD and I haven't flown since 9/11 (was away in the middle of nowhere at the time) and DD had never flown. Had a fab time, felt very proud of ourselves and Rome is so beautiful. We are thinking Florence next time.
Have been washing one load after another today, if we had been away much longer DH and DS would have run out of pants:rotfl:, most of it is dried and folded now, also cleaned and made pizza dough for the freezer for my Friday night pizzas. Have dropped the two Rome guide books back at the library - very MSE -, and called into town to pay some cash into the bank and peruse the charity shops, have come home with another pile of lovely goodies.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

This happens to me all the time, I write very careful and concise emails which people then reply to without having read at all.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Yup, makes me question why I bother being so helpful lol, but then I remember the helpful responses I do occasionally get
Oh well, sure we'll get there eventually!0 -

Fmess and apple muncher Thanks. Today was better.
Grateful for:
NSD.
Walked 2 laps around my usual route in park.
Talked to someone who goes to parkrun on my way back home.
Printed off 2 workbooks on cbt and one workbook on grief. Printed 2 pages on 1 so saved paper. So will be working on them for self care and in my own time.
Nice weather when I went for walk.

Today we went out adventurising on bikes along the Monsal trail and back We couldn't get lost cos it's an old railway line, so a there-and-back ride. We managed 15 miles which I'm v pleased with. Esp as dd only learned to ride her bike after Christmas.
Today I am grateful for good cycling weather, for the place where we stopped for lunch having gf/df cakes, for lovely cycle hire staff, for a gel saddle (!), for my needle felting, for a much better night's sleep last night, for family time.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0
