Definitely!! I applaud you. I am going out with a friend later and not going to drink. It shouldn't be that hard should it? I think I am overthinking it.
No NSDs for me yet. Must try harder, but no big spends either.
Mothernerd I also wondered where the bath was going after the tight tush comment!!
Apple why do you have so many horrifically sized spiders? You're braver than me getting rid

With us (as with most of our friends) it is (or rather was) just normal to have a drink every day so sometimes it is hard but it is just a bad habit really. Like every bad habit we just have to persevere to break it. The most difficult time though is when going out.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.0 -
Adventurising - we explored our local area we've moved to earlier on this week, and last I drove through a drive-thru for the first time last night :rotfl:
Unplug - got some good time away from my phone on Monday whilst we were out on our walk, and making the effort to spend quality time with people rather than be on our phones
Generosity - slowly filling up our charity bag
Ugly and Useless - Still thinking lol
Spontaneity - struggling with this, too.
Think long term - Finally got the form to return to fill out for my pension opt-in, will send it off in a couple of weeks as I don't want it to kick back in with this payday as I have a tight budget coming up, but will happily be in after that as it will be planned for.
Not had any more NSD's yet as keep thinking of little bits we need for the house, but putting my foot down after today lol0 -
Afternoon all,
SFD number 3 yesterday. Did some admin work and met friend for a drink but she paidThen mowed and tidied the front garden, cleared out the garage and took it all to the tip. In the evening, I had an idea for a new system at school so set about making the resources and spreadsheets for that. Also did a few dog walks. Sounds busy now I’ve written it all down!
Today has been dog walking, gym class and admin job so far. May mow the back lawn later.LBM = 07/09/13 Debt = £13339 (100% cleared)

Shrewbie - I'd much rather remove the big beasties than know that they were lurking in the house still, waiting to pounce... It adds a new dimension to the phrase 'te corre un bicho'...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0

Got a letter from the council this afternoon regarding a planning application for a piece of ground adjacent to our house. Really very unhappy about the plan they have for it but it is council owned and they are the ones making the proposal so not sure what we can do, So, I've spend most of the afternoon going through it with my neighbour to try and come up with a plan to thwart it. Right at this moment I am doing incredibly well not to reach for the gin bottle.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.0 -
dolly - I personally enjoyed the Sherlock Holmes stories. I also have the box set of dvd's of the tv series with Jeremy Brett.
Was a spend day. Ordered more toothpowder from an ethical company, a book written by my favourite author - only had to pay a small bit as I used up a voucher, bread - used a money off coupon and a couple of other things.
Grateful for:
Walk into town and back. About half an hour each way.
Surgery rebooking gp appointment for tomorrow as gp was off sick today.

HI all
Last day of looking after my friend's cats. Also removed all the mouldy bread, croissants and baguettes from her bread bin - gross! But wouldn't like her to come home to it
Spent all day at work sorting out making sure staff salaries will be paid -been a massive hassle but at least it's done - took a trip to the nearest branch of the bank and DD1 dropping off my passport (for ID) on her way past! Finished work now for over 2 weeks so very happy to be chilling and not thinking about work
Has been a spendy day as had hair cut and coloured . Also bought new toaster - cheapest one I could find in Mr A.
Dolly - yes will get a new oven but awaiting payment of self employment invoices so I can afford it as not using CCs anymoreWe are away for a week now so not desperate and now I have a toaster i'm happy! My colleague's partner works for AO so he has offered to get one with his staff discount - just need to find one in the right size and right budget once I've got the money.
