Morning all,
Hugs ccl sounds like a stressful day
SFD number 1 yesterdayDid dog walking and gym class, took large items to the tip and the handyman finished the job in the garden
Paid him but that was out of the house renovation budget. New boiler next week so that’ll make a dint in that too!
Did 18000 steps and lost 3lbs on the scales at slimming world
Sounds like a great day but over shadowed by a friendship that is confusing and hurtful. Woke up at 5am worrying about it, not sure how to resolve it. They’re barely communicating with me and usually we are in constant communication all day everyday. Maybe I’ll just pluck up the courage to confront them or maybe just stop tryingLBM = 07/09/13 Debt = £13339 (100% cleared)

Hellooo nannygladys!
Ccl - hope life calms down for you.
Sashanut - my rasps are stil green, as they're late ones. Can't wait until they're ripe!
Fmess - well done on losing that weight. Are you able to 'allow' yourself 48 hours off from the friendship that's gone wrong? Then come back and make a decision?
Deni - it's so good that your girls look after each other.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Thanks apple we didn’t communicate for a week, then I tried to put out an olive branch and feel that I keep getting rejected. It’s hard because I have no idea if there is an issue from her end but it certainly feels that way. Thanks for replying.LBM = 07/09/13 Debt = £13339 (100% cleared)

Morning all
Gosh, I'm a little unmotivated today. I didn't want to get up at all - just a bit miserable after yesterday, but life goes on and I can't sit feeling sort for myself for ever.
Not sure what today's plans are - both kids are still in bed so I don't know what they will want to do once they're up and about. DS has his bestie coming round again so probably another home based day.
FMess - sorry to hear about your flaky friend. I know it's easier said than done but leave them to it. You've done everything you can from your end.
Not giving up
Working hard to pay off my debt
Time to take back control

Morning all! I will only be here until Saturday and then I am gone for half the month, so if driving 120 miles and spending 8 hours on a boat with 3 kids is not enough of an adventure, I will have to find more adventure when I come back.
DH came back last night, and I am getting DS1 back this afternoon, then I need to buy provisions for the trip and the journey. Need to find airbeds and blankets and stuff to amuse the kids for the duration. Clean the car, pack the car, fill the car with diesel, drive the car away on Sunday. I am terrified. Although looking forward to not spending much while we are away. There is not much to spend on in a field in the middle of nowhere. I shall pretend I am on retreat. So I shall turn on my mobile hotspot once in the morning and read along with you. My £5 a month phone contract will not allow for much more than that.
CCL - hugs - you need a bounty hunter
Fmess - leave her to it.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

hello gang!
Good to see the thread still going strong and some familiar turtlesCould I please join this month? I could do with watching the pennies in the run up to Christmas!
Also, Ive been thinking of getting a kitten for some time and was wondering (to those of you who have experience of pets) roughly how much it costs per month to cover all their needs..Ninja Saving Turtle

Hello
1st NSD of the month today, I actually gained £8 by returning something which I'm normally keen to avoid in case they randomly turn round and say no! But, obviously, it was fine so £8 for the day.
Nothing much adventurous going on as it's the working week still, but we should be going swimming with OH's kids for the first time this evening (8 & 12) so that'll be adventurous enough for one day, think the least they've seen me in, is my PJS :rotfl:
Tomorrow, however, I am going to take a stroll in the area we now live in and see if there are any nice walking routes0 -
Still on NSD No 1
Needed a few things that we were getting low on and potatoes. My neighbours are coming back from holiday late tomorrow night so I bought some milk, bread and a few other things and put them in their fridge so they'll have something for breakfast on Sunday. We've been invited to a christening party on Sunday so had to buy a present for the baby but that came from our gift budget. I'm finding that taking cash out weekly for food and household things is really focusing my mind on what we're spending and what we're spending it on.
Other than that it's been a pretty quiet day.
CCL - Hope things improve and you manage to track him down
Fmess - Hope the situation with your friend is resolved but for now I think you've done all you can. If you've extended an olive branch it's up to her to make the next move.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.0 -
f0xh0les - your step-gma is an adventure all by herself. No need to go looking for more! Hope it goes as well as it can...
PhoeniX - you're numbered! Sorry i can't help with kitten costs.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Pheonix great idea, love pets! I have a cat and 2 dogs. I spend about £13 a month on cat food (4 boxes of aldee wet pouches and a bag of whiskas dry) and about £18 on insurance (but he is now 12 and it’s been worth it’s cost with two leg surgeries in 10 years at over £1600 each!) Vaccinations are about £30 a year. If he/she has a litter tray, then probably another £5-10 a month on cat litter but mine likes to go outside so I don’t buy that regularly.
Any questions. Just ask.LBM = 07/09/13 Debt = £13339 (100% cleared)
