Dolly, thank you :) I take a long time to surface in the morning when I don't feel too good, but I'm starting now. It's raining, so no way I'm going to even walk round the block, can't risk it - though, I have a supermarket delivery this afternoon, dealing with that will frankly be as much exercise as I can manage, its a big stock-up one.

My to do list is already a page long and I haven't started on a packing list (always do one so I can check it off as I put things away for the return journey - never left anything behind on a holiday and only once picked something up, a doiley from a bedside table which got scooped up with my underwear).

The most important things are getting to the funeral and keeping calm so have renewed my library books on-line (only 6 but one was due back on Friday) and sent an e-mail to the film society giving up my place for the Peterloo film. Not sure I can get back and it's sold out so let someone else have the seat.

I will look for my passport photos (bought some for renewing my passport prior to the wedding) but if I can't find them I will take the hit and pay full price for my ticket. My room is so nearly 'done' that turning it upside down in search of something as small as the photos will mess everything up again and that will mean days of resorting/ filing. I would also need to use a computer at the library to download a form and spend time filling it in.

Have changed my mind on travel arrangements as well. The train I wanted had no available tickets but an earlier train was suggested (haven't been able to check if tickets are available as they want to know everything about you down to the shape of your belly button before they deign to tell you whether you can have a ticket or not). The train went from local station to Mc Piccadilly then straight to Oxford.

The first leg of the journey will be much quicker and cheaper if I take the V1 bus to Mc so going to do that, purchase a ticket and camp out there until there is a train I can get on (open return so can use any off-peak trains). It also means that when I come back I have much more chance of getting a bus home rather than using the local semi-rural station with it's one an hour buses.

Need to get a move on but not liking the weather much. Probably best to ditch a couple of errands that come under the 'making the best use of the all day bus ticket' - buying a metal garden sieve (east side of town) and taking the old phones to a specialised disposal point (north west edge of town) as both involve a walk when I get off the bus - one across the front and all down the side of one of the large supermarkets.

Hugs to everyone that needs one or would like one.

Karma, hopefully weather brightens up for you later. Good to get outside.

Right yesterday I had a day off work. Planned was a long walk but tummy been bit dodgy this week so played safe and went to Sainsbobs clothing sale. Bought a cute dress that will work in the autumn as well, navy hoody, handbag and new knickers at last:D Got some fruit/ veg whilst there. Happy with my clothes at the price.

Went for a drive and short walk in afternoon. Lovely river location very popular with tourists. Place was packed so much for some quiet thinking time.:(

Took a dress back to Next but I had lost the receipt so I now have a gift card. Will get some joggers online as getting chilly in evenings now.

Happy today, quidco payment on the way £50 will help bank balance this month.:T

Trying not to spend today what can go wrong:rotfl:

Had a quick chat with my sister, and she's calling for me tomorrow and taking me to fetch a letter I have to sign for, and then on to a National Trust place where we've been for walks. Thats the best option - as well as a chat with her, it's a day when we *won't* be having heavy showers every 20 minutes! :) because today, apple's suggestion is the only possible one to getting some fresh air :rotfl:

I've decided that I really must get serious about clearing, cleaning and sorting out this house. Everything needs done and I've been so lazy for the last few weeks. So today's task was to empty the bedding box and sort through it. I've identified a few little things that are really past their best and can be used for cleaning cloths. The rest are all washed and drying upstairs ready to be ironed and returned neatly tomorrow. Amazing what you find when you start. Two bottles of handwash and my birth certificate. Goodness knows how that got in there. Another clear out planned for tomorrow!

Next of my new recipes is mustard herbed pork fillet. Got all the ingredients and the fillet is defrosting in the fridge. Looking forward to trying it.

    Still raining.
Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.

I've been way past tired for several hours and fighting the urge to burst into tears. Much has been accomplished. I have timetables for today's buses and tomorrow's as well as a city centre map for Manchester showing the routes of the free buses.

I have things I can eat but didn't get to go where I wanted for food for the journey - I have lots of fruit and lots of carbs but not sure i have enough energy to go out again.

I took mum her cards, hooks for the garden chairs and more cash (to pay Mr and Mrs builder, the cleaner, the hairdresser, the girl who does her nails and the plumber who's coming sometime to do a gas check.

I planted her potatoes, dressed some of her warts with cider vinegar and cotton wool - it seems to be working, the patch I did last week looks a lot clearer. Attempted to get a new cheque book (again) but this time were told it would be a while before they can send one out because the change of address notification is so recent. She was also cross because we had used mum's details to get through to her and she thought she should have spoken to mum before me. Asked if we could call on Monday but she just said it would be 'a while', so put it on my hold list and will try in 3 weeks when we return from holiday.

Went to catch my bus but had to get back into mum's as I had not picked up my phone (put it to charge so that I don't need to take the charger with me and it won't run out over the next two days). This made me late so instead of going to the SM I caught the bus as it was coming back and went straight to the doctors.

Prescription wasn't ready. Apparently the little box that says prescriptions belongs to the other surgery and they hadn't passed it across. Receptionist printed out my prescription and took it to one of the doctors to be signed. My bedraggled appearance worked in my favour (fighting the rain all day and ready to drop). Waited at the pharmacy for it to be filled. Pharmacist tried to persuade me to have it sent to them rather than waiting but i said with the day I'd had, it was nice to be able to sit down quietly.

Caught the bus home, have eaten and am resting. Beloved has just been in with a report. They have swept the kitchen floor. She started to mop but DS3 wanted to do it. I asked her if he knew how to and she said he seemed to do.

Will start organising to pack when I have worked some of the kinks out of my body. I found passport photos but they are the ones from 2006 so don't know if they will be acceptable.

Today I am grateful for getting things done, for most things working out and for setting out on a big adventure tomorrow - I know which direction I'm going so will use any suitable trains and hope I can find a seat (may be ones that are reserved but the passengers aren't getting on until further down the line. I can't stand for very long and I'm sure if i fall over or collapse in a heap someone will find me a seat (did consider taking the spare walker).

Well, I hope your journey tomorrow goes well, mothernerd, your days seem filled with a huge amount of work and running about on behalf of everyone else. I'm not surprised you felt like bursting into tears :( I hope you can be rested and adventurised to your heart's content :)
