Well done Honey almost there
I've added ice cream to the shopping list
I've had a builder around today to hopefully fix an issue with the down pipe leading onto my flat roof extension, we are due rain for the next week so I'll see if it works. Whilst he was here I asked him to send me a quote to decorate my lounge, dining room and smallest bedroom as replastering is needed I can't do it myself, nor do I want to :rotfl: If I like the quote he wouldn't be able to start until February but it will been I've started the process
My sister came for lunch and a chat up
B -
L - smoked mackerel salad, new potatoes and HM coleslaw
D - rump steak with LO salad and new potatoes
S - nectarine and greengagesLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0 -

I had a huge and totally unexpected amount of aggressiin from one of my neighbours and her family yesterday, so I'm staying away for a few days til it's safer. Don't know how to resolve it nd n0t thinking clearly yet. There are times when logic is no use and I suddenly felt extremely vulnerable as a woman with he@lth problems who lives on my own. Fight or flight I suppose.
On the plus side I now have no @ppetite whatsoever. Yesterday I ate mushrooms and 1.5 slice bread. Half b@g crisps. Apple. Today I will try and be more sensible. I don't want to get ill.
My tchscreen is jiggered. Sorry to be a moaner.Need2bthrifty wrote: »Morning All,
Well done honeythewitch, not far now to reach your target.
Brambling - work colleague's diet sounds a bit extreme, although I recall doing a rapid loss diet back in the 80's which involved copious amounts of citrus fruit and zero carbs, I did lose weight and probably most of the enamel off my teeth :rotfl: :rotfl:
Feeling a bit more energetic today, household chores are done, I need to nip out to the supermarket then I'll get some gardening done or at least try and get the weeds under control.
B - hard boiled egg, blob of mayo, toast & tomato
L - tuna salad wrap, banana
D - 2 sausages, mushroom & kale stirfry, maybe some sweet potato wedges depends how hungry I feel
I hadnt realised how close I was to the target. We are all doing brilliantly, arent we?
I see S-Glover has sailed past her target. Well done!
I think the extreme diet is called "The chemical diet" these days, but it is just a variation on the good old crash diet of boiled eggs and grapefruit.
I dont think it is worth doing anything you are not prepared to stick to for life or the weight will be going up and down for ever.Well done Honey almost thereI've added ice cream to the shopping list

I like the sound of all of that. Smoked mackerel is something I only feel like once in a blue moon but really enjoy it when I do.
I am probably being a bit dense, but what is LO salad?
Today I had Chick pea, tuna beetroot lettuce tomato and cucumber salad,
And mushroom soup with mushrooms added to it, with dry barm cakes. (very light large bread roll for those in the south)
I am getting to quite like having dry bread. It is a sort of protest really since Lurpack discontinued the "lightest" butter and as there isnt an equivalent on sale, i thought "stuff them!"0 -

LO = left over. Salad left from lunch was dinner just with a different protein

Hiya,
Just a quick update
Went out last night and had a fantastic time. The food was lovely and I over-ate. A lot. I usually eat sensibly at home and eating out is the exception. So I'm not worried!
Today then
B-
L- veg soup, cabbage and mange tous
T- veg curry, little rice, half mini naan. Orange jelly.
S- customary cereal. No fruit here til asda tomorrow!!
Ive been trying to push breakfast back to lunch over the last couple of weeks. It seems to have happened now. It seems an easy place for me to ditch some calories, works with my rhythms. It would only be an alteration to what I drink early in the day to be a 16:8 intermittent fast. But I do love to drink tea. Dilemma.
brambling I seem to have fallen off the list, and I was so excited about getting my badges! When you get a chance can you add them (2 yellow for the 2lb I declared on Thursday)? Thanks ever so much.A bit of grin and bear it, a bit of come and share it
You're welcome we can spare it, yellow socks0 -
Oops sorry tighteningthebelt blame fat fingers copying and pasting on a tablet.
I've corrected it
Glad you had a good evening out
I popped around to a friend this morning to pick up something and spent a couple of hours gossiping and drinking tea, this afternoon I've been cooking. Rice with loads of vegetables and vegetarian haggis, tomato and courgette sauce (not quite ratatouille as no aubergine) and air fried chicken thighs in Cajun breadcrumbs. So enough for lunch and dinners for a few days
B -
L - smoked mackerel wrap with horseradish and watercress
D - will be a couple of the chicken thighs with green beans and some of the tomato and courgette sauce
S - 2 cheese oat cakes, nectarine, bananaLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0 -

Ahhh, all better now! Thanks.
Your meal prep sounds fantastic. I've still got a few more days on veg curry.A bit of grin and bear it, a bit of come and share it

Had an awful palava today. The washing machine conked out the other day and we had to take the (now pretty rancid) soaking wet towels/ sheets to the laundrette.
We found a community laundrette which was lovely. It is a cafe as well, and a bit cheaper than usual.
We went for a lovely walk in the pouring rain while we waited.
Unfortunately, the towels came out in much the same condition as they went in.
The programme was set to sixty degrees, but i strongly suspect it got nowhere near that temperature, so we had to drive around more to find another one, and fortunately this one has washed as expected.
It took the entire day though, to wash a few towels, and we have got another week of this until the new washing machine is delivered.
Todays food...
Meat and potato pie.
apple.
Eggs on toast.
(I had planned a liver and vegetables dinner but overcooked the vegetables and had to sling mine. My husband was thrilled. He loves school dinner type mush)

Brambling Your colleague's diet sounds like the cabbage soup diet, although I always thought day 5 was beef and tomatoes rather than just tomatoes. It's definitely not something you could sustain (or I could ever do again) but it was a very good boost to start a diet. I think it was because it was so restrictive that eating healthily afterwards was a treat
I finally bit the bullet and weighed myself this morning - ouch
Well, I say "ouch" but it was kind of what I expected. I'm exactly half way between my "hopeful" and "please no" guestimates and at least now I know where I am.
My husband's decided that he wants to lose some weight so I'm hoping that him trying to eat more healthily will help me to do the same.
Best of luck to all for the week ahead.0 -
Afternoon All
Honeythewitch shame about your washing machine, I expect mine it give up at any moment, its 15 years old and making some dreadful noises as well as wandering across the floor when spinning a heavy load like towels.
Izadora, glad to hear your husband is going to try as well, it makes it so much easier to plan and shop when you are likely to be eating the same thing.
0.5 lost this week, have to try my best for next week and aim for 2lbs which will bring me down to 11st and round things off nicely for the next stage.
Had a boiled egg and soldiers for breakfast, I was hoping that the pears and melon in the fruit bowl were a bit riper for today but no, I bought a couple of bananas to help ripen them and even they have turned black waiting for them.
Ham salad and the last packet of baked crisps for lunch, leek & mushroom lasagne from freezer stock for tea with some broccoli and a slice of garlic breadJan - June Grocery spends = £531.61
July - Grocery spends = £113.010
