Brambling Your colleague's diet sounds like the cabbage soup diet, although I always thought day 5 was beef and tomatoes rather than just tomatoes. It's definitely not something you could sustain (or I could ever do again) but it was a very good boost to start a diet. I think it was because it was so restrictive that eating healthily afterwards was a treat :D

She called it the GM diet Izadora but there was no cabbage soup, she is indian so I don't think she eats beef, she may have misunderstood or decided not to replace it with another protein. I think I'll stick to what I'm doing rather than a more extreme diet :) well done on weighing yourself, i find that's the difficult bit when you know you have put weight back on, once you have got on the scales you can't hide from it :)

Honey you are lucky you got the towels clean again even if it took all day I know sometimes it's impossible to get rid of the smell.

Needt2bthrifty - I have added your loss to the chart :T

B - Fruit and FF greek yoghurt
L - rice and vegetables (cooked yesterday) green beans and tomato and courgette sauce
D - will include LO crumbed chicken not sure what else, but lunch was more than usual so maybe just some green beans

Izadora Welcome back. I found myself worrying about you as you sounded so fed up the last couple of times you posted. Good news about mr isadora getting on board. I'm sure that will really help.

A bit of grin and bear it, a bit of come and share it
You're welcome we can spare it, yellow socks

  • Todays food.

    Bacon butty.

    Two mince pies.

    Meat and potato pie.

And a lot of carrot and swede mash to ward off the scurvy! :D

I am calorie counting instead of my haphazard "healthy food and being careful. ish" so I am fully embracing pastry. :rotfl:

  • Good Morning,

Well done Dundee Doll :T :T that's a great achievement you must be really pleased.

Wet, cold and grey here today so I may just have to cosy up with a good book or get a jigsaw on the go.

    B - boiled egg & an oatcake
L - soup from freezer stash
D - chicken and broccoli in oyster sauce, boiled rice
    Jan - June Grocery spends = £531.61
    July - Grocery spends = £65.01
  • Gosh DundeeDoll, I add my total respect for 4lb and reaching your target! Well done!!

Got my timings a bit wrong today and had to fight off the junk food...
    B -
S - apple (actually a victory, for me to go hungry into a supermarket and come out with an apple)
L - veg soup, cabbage, bread roll
T - veg curry, couscous and half mini naan, jelly

Out for a little while tonight for a poetry thing, a pint of lager shandy and packet of crisps. Will be nice.
A bit of grin and bear it, a bit of come and share it

  • I have a feeling I am eating more calories than before i was counting them, which might be unhelpful.

I love the rain, so i went for a two hour walk while it was bucketing down. :)

    Food today...

    Large tuna and salad butty.

Two lotus biscoff biscuits with biscoff from the jar spread on them. (food of the Gods :D)

    Tomato soup and Danish bread.
