I'm impressed by how far you can stretchhhh 400g of mince tighteningthebelt :) very :money:

I envy your trip to France FrugalLina but not the 3am start :). Enjoy

I slept really bad last night and was still awake at 2am  so tired and eating carp today. I was due to go to tai chi tonight with my sister but too tired and brain dead. Not sure why just too much going around in my head as soon as it hit the pillow, I think I should have come back downstairs and read a bit.

    B - fruit
L - HM chicken and veg soup, nectarine
D - chicken and gammon wrap with salad (really couldn't be bothered to cook)
S- too many and too much rubbish :o

I don't think I'm going to have lost anything tomorrow I need to get back on track after my holiday

    Hiya!
    Reporting in...
    B -
L - tuna sweetcorn sandwich with 3 cherry toms + beetroot. apple
T - chilli and mash (needed eating!) Jelly and a tablespoon yogurt
S - will be small cereal and few grapes

Advance notice - I'm having a cheese scone on Friday and I might be feeding 2 friends here over the weekend. So, I'm making rules on the hoof here... a) one deviation a week and b) it must always be pre planned. That could work.

Catch you all tomorrow. Have a good evening.
A bit of grin and bear it, a bit of come and share it
You're welcome we can spare it, yellow socks
  • First weigh in - 2lb loss. I'm ever so pleased. Thanks everyone :)

  • Morning All,

Well done tighteningthebelt that's a great start for you.

I didn't get the chance to post yesterday but the meals were as follows
    B - 2 slices ham with toast & tomato
    L - tomato & mozzarella salad
D - sweet & sour pork, boiled rice, green beans
    S = 2 x Lid1 mini magnum lookalikes ;)

I need to tidy/reorganise the freezer today so will bury the rest of the mini ices at the back. I've had some greek yoghurt and prunes to start the day and I'll do a ham salad for lunch. Todays menu plan has macaroni cheese for tea really to use up the milk before it turns but at the moment I'm not really fancying that. It will definitely be pasta of some kind maybe puttanesca or pesto see how I feel later on.

Right I'll go get myself organised and take a boot load of stuff to the recycling centre, hope you all have a good day.

    :rotfl: I like your logic
    Jan - June Grocery spends = £531.61
    July - Grocery spends = £65.01
  • I too like your logic tighteningthebelt dog still not 100% but seems a bit perkier this morning. other dog puked 4 times sunday night so we are thinking they may have eaten the same thing (they are dreadful when out on walks, like they've never been fed!) but one has a better evacuation system. We'll see.
For yesterday, another new recipe for D
B: beans, tomato, cabbage and egg
L: 2nd portion of scrummy leek pasta thing
D: 200ml lo stock, chopped onion, 1 tbsp Branston left over from someone staying here and not something i would normally eat, cooked till reduced and slightly caramelised then poured over 2 veggie sausages, cabbage, carrots and potato. Next time will definitely cook the recipe for 4 and freeze 3 portions
S: 1 apple, 2 small slices toast with marmite, 125 ml red wine
Steps: 21,831, several pulling shopping trolley full of fish and veg so i could get my £5 off a £25 shop from Mr L :D (got rid of car earlier this month)

Well done Tighteningthebelt great first week :T:T I'm another one who likes your logic, I've been known to use similar myself :D I'm very partial to cheese scones and unfortunately it's really hard to make less than 2  Enjoy your weekend with friends

Hope the dogs recover soon DundedDoll :) your walking is really impressive I consider myself a walker but you put me to shame. I have to drive to walk and do miss my 4 miles round trip walk which i use to be able to do when i worked in my home town.

I will confess to not weighting myself yesterday as i felt really fat and uncomfortable, probably too much wheat which doesn't always sit well with me, unfortunately the wheat is found in the biscuits etc i've been picking at :( ignore the pity party from me, just post holiday blues, a couple of sleepless nights and being a woman on a certain age. i didn't need a weight gain to make me feel more sorry for my self than i was, so i did my best ostrich impersonation and hid my head in the sand :o I'm sitting at work with a large bowl of fruit on the desk in the hope it will steer me away from anything too 'naughty' and will skip the scales until next Wednesday.

  • Hello, hope it's not too late to join in? I need to lose loads of weight on budget, ideally as low carb as possible due to diabetes. But goodness me why is all the wrong stuff cheap like spaghetti or potatoes! plan for tomorrow:

    B - Toast
L - Fish fingers and salad (weird I know, but must use what I have)
    D - Pork stir fry
S - Blueberry muffins (homemade as have all the ingredients)
At least 1L water, not as much as I should drink, but its a start.

    wish me luck
