No it has the right registered keeper and Registered mark even the make it correct but the model is incorrect.
I have sent the SAR now with a photo of the V5 as proof of owner but it is all very dodges if you ask me.0 -
hi , the V5C does not prove who the owner is, it even says that on the form
just to clarify, the V5C clarifies who the RK (Registered Keeper) is , even if the owner is Toyota Finance or Barclays bank or British Telecom Procurement
the V5C attachment is proof of ID so that they can give youi the SAR reply due to the law called GDPR and so they know the person asking isa entitled to the data
getting the model wrong is irrelevant, not everyone is a Clarkson , but the VRM details and hopefully the keeper details including address should be correct. a judge would have to ask "is the right person the defendant ?" so if enough info is correct they would infer that you are the correct defendant by the law of probabilities etc
ARMTRAC have no idea who was driving unless some fool tells them those details
they obtain the KEEPER details from the DVLA for about £2.50 or £3 and send the paperwork to that KEEPER, hoping they will take umbrage with the model etc and also about who the driver was, a lot of people fall for this con and blab, which undermines their own defence
MP,s know the whole system is rotten to the core and we are all awaiting what the MHCLG are doing about it now that there is a law to bring in a CoP (these companies have found an easy way to cause all kinds of issues for motorists and pure greed has taken over from sensibility)
the regulars on here have known this for 5 to 10 years and you are extremely late to the party having just been woken up , probably missing the BEAVIS saga altogether0 -
If you know the location of this car park, then you should be looking at a complaint to the landowner.
In most cases the parking company provides its 'services' free to a landowner in exchange for keeping any revenue from parking charge notices, sometimes a parking company may pay the landowner to 'milk' the car park.
and again, in most cases the parking company will be acting for and or on behalf of the landowner.
the landowner/landholder will be jointly and severally liable for the actions of its agents, this means that should the parking company get upto any mischief, or wrong doing either by ineptitude or on purpose
There are only a few car parks, and in turn a few parking company's that will have landowner /landholder interest but these are the exception to the ruleFrom the Plain Language Commission:

Hey Redex,
I really appreciate the support that you and this forum gives people like me, as you mentioned new to this and new to the scammers, but is that not the whole point to help people like me who have no idea that these private parking companies are scammers? And to make sure that more and more of us take them on and make their life more difficult?
In your words I have not been a fool and advised who was driving, I may have gotten some of my terminology incorrect on this page and said owner and not RK, however in this case they are the same. But my bad I will wise up and be more careful on the terminology.
I have followed the newbies thread and sent the parking firm an SAR complete with a photo of the V5 and proof of RK. I copied the SAR in the newbies thread and altered the detail as stated to do so.
Thanks again for all your help and wisdom in taking on these scammers.0 -
Hi half_way,
So as well as sending off the SAR should I also complain to the landowner?
Do you know how I get the details to send the complaint to as the only information on the signage in Armtracs details.

Try the local council business rates dept.
If you post the car park location one of the regulars may have knowledge0 -
I am really confused as have just been reading a thread on making an offer to the PPC and telling them who the driver was? I am thinking of taking this approach as for a nominal expense of say £20 I could all go away one and for all!
Everything that I have read to date strictly states NOT to advise them who the driver was, can somebody please tell if I am to look at this route is it just a simple email making an offer and keep the driver hush?0 -
If Armtrac are willing to accept this offer it’s because they know they have failed POFA and have no case.
Don’t think many will be advising you to feed the scam.0 -
Where did you see this advice to name the driver/, offer £20 to end it??
It won't!!0
