  • So is that a good sign or an image of a sign that does not comply?
i have also read on the newbies page somewhere about the contract between the site owner and the parking firm that manage it. I requested proof in my defence but have heard nothing and it was not in their reply or even any word about it.
Worth bringing that up in the WS again?

also should I wait until the last day before sending in the WS so that BWL do not get a chance to see it in advance?
  • I have just been reading “district judge tells BW Legal post from 2019” coupon-mad has put a great piece about Abuse of Process at WS stage. It looks like it is suggested to include the whole section in our WS as a supplementary WS, before I do so please can I just check that is correct?

Just look at all of that minute text at the bottom off te sign.  How   could anyone, let alone Law Lords, . stand and read that in the pouring rain.  Even if she could, would Doris the dinner lady understand it?

And why "no return within one hour"?  Is that the driver or the car with a different driver.

That's the Beavis case sign that the Supreme Court held was prominent, brief and clear, and they noted that the parking charge and terms were in bold, large font.

When I do a WS I suggest to people that they put in as a single page of evidence, the Beavis sign image next to an image of their PPC sign, like this comparison between it and a hopeless OPS sign!

Here is a witness statement you can use and adapt, by removing the stuff about the Equality Act, the ''egg-shell rule'' and the Vento Guidelines about compensation for discrimination:

Honestly, once you delete those bits from that example, you will see how easily it will fit your case, just by you changing the details of the car park and signs and parking event.  The rest works!

Agree over the moon but really annoyed at the same time, I have spent hours researching it all m, writing a defence and I have just finished my WS. I was strangely looking forward to my day in court with the robbing scum bags.
i was going to say what a total waste of time but I guess at least I understand the process now!

I agree, imo the PPC has acted unreasonably.  Why not sue them for your time at £19.00 an hour and 45 ppm for travel?
