    Thanks Redx,

I had already sent them a redacted utility bill with proof of address and added their case number to the email subject. I did think it was a bit dodgy them asking for all that personal detail.
I will do as you suggest straight away.
As always I really appreciate your help.

As mentioned before, you should be reading post #2 of the NEWBIES thread.

What is the Issue Date on your County Court Claim Form?
  • Sorry the issue date was 20/11/19

With a Claim Issue Date of 20th November, you have until Monday 9th December to do the Acknowledgment of Service. If possible, do not do the AoS before 26th November, but otherwise there is nothing to be gained by delaying it. To do the AoS, follow the guidance offered in a Dropbox file linked from post #2 of the NEWBIES FAQ sticky thread. About ten minutes work - no thinking required.

Having done the AoS, you have until 4pm on Monday 23rd December 2019 to file your Defence.

That's over four weeks away. Plenty of time to produce a Defence, but please don't leave it to the last minute.

When you are happy with the content, your Defence could be filed via email as suggested here:
      Print your Defence.
    1. Sign it and date it.
    2. Scan the signed document back in and save it as a pdf.
    3. Send that pdf as an email attachment to CCBCAQ@Justice.gov.uk
    4. Just put the claim number and the word Defence in the email title, and in the body of the email something like 'Please find my Defence attached'.
    5. No need to do anything on MCOL, but do check it after a few days to see if the Claim is marked "defence received". If not, chase the CCBC until it is.
    6. Do not be surprised to receive an early copy of the Claimant's Directions Questionnaire, they are trying to keep you under pressure. Just file it.
    7. Wait for your DQ from the CCBC, or download one from the internet, and then re-read post #2 of the NEWBIES FAQ sticky thread to find out exactly what to do with it.
  • Also to confirm the total amount of the claim is now £239.78 which is made up of
£104.78 (£100 claim plus £0.02ppd from alleged parking offence)
    £60 contractural costs
    £25 court fee
    £50 legal representative costs
    Total £239.78
The alleged offence was for parking slightly outside the marked bay (which was only half visible)

There is only one AOS Dropbox link in the NEWBIES thread so please don't copy stuff from there to here and ask for confirmation of everything over there already clearly stated in the sticky thread, or we'll drown!
    £60 contractural costs
LOL! You need to read CEC16's thread.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
CLICK at the top or bottom of any page where it says:
Home»Motoring»Parking Tickets Fines & Parking - read the NEWBIES THREAD
  • Thanks Coupon-mad. So that was a yes that is the right link then. I will make sure I try not to copy anything across again
At what point does the RK advise if they were driver or not?
