Afternoon All
I have been terribly naughtier this week, just general picking at stuff, can't even put my finger on why, I could say work has been stressful, but that's just the norm. I've not been feeling 100% either just stupid niggling aches and pain, do you get those weeks when things are just off for no particular reason?
Any how I need to get back on track, I have just made a big pot of vegetable rice for lunches this week so at least I should stay on track for that. However next week is ds birthday so I will be making a cake, he has requested Chinese meal out for his birthday and on Saturday we are going to the pictures then one of those ice cream parlour places, luckily I'm not an ice cream fan, unluckily I think they do waffles
I also agree with Denise in that I only cook one meal and, apart from Sunday's, it is always sw friendly, I add bread for dh sometimes as he has a physical job, but they are all (apart from ds) of an age where if they don't want what I'm cooking they can feed themselves, I tend to do a 4 weekly meal planner which is on the cupboard door so they have plenty of time to see the meals for the upcoming weeks.'You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose' - Dr Suess

Sorry to hear you're a bit down abbafan. I'd echo what others have said about your family. It's a shame they aren't more supportive of what you need to eat but expecting you to cook different meals is unfair, especially as you're feeling under the weather too.
Good news about your job tete. It's strange but I find meal planning and a weekly shop means I don't constantly think about food. It's as if I just devote an hour or so to getting it all sorted for the week and then I don't need to give it any more thought. Much easier (and more mse:money:) than thinking 'what shall we have?' or 'what do I fancy?' and popping into shops every day.
Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, fried egg, baked beans, HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks
L: ham, new potatoes, saladHB steaks, onions, mushrooms, SW roast potatoes, carrots, swede, kale, cabbage, cauli, broccoli
Syns: tsp. cornflour, weekend wine:D0 -

I have got the message now:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Afternoon all
Forgive i have synned, i have had a white bread roll:eek: been over my sisters to see the carnival, but roast is nearly ready now:T:T
DH been at work since 6! so thought we would have a roast as not as hot and he deserves it:p
You call that Synning? :rotfl:
Come around here and you'll see synning big time! :cool:0 -
The tray bake was lovely. Didn't do peas in the end just the brussels alongside the roasted stuff.
Going to have some plums & cherries shortly as have absolutely loads. Got a big bag of plums for £1 and lb of cherries for £1. Still have half a melon but will probably have that with some quark for pudding tomorrow.
Haven't had any more syns and have worked out I've got 26.5 to last until Wednesday so definitely doable as only had 3 today so 23.5 so 8.5ish a day.

Evening everyone.
Good to hear that you've had a good start in your new job, Tete
Abbafan, join me in the very slow losers club (or in my case not at all lately...)
Just a quick post with today's menu - I think it's a speed day??? I do struggle to get my head around that. I'm trying alternate days as speed days and upping my water intake to see if I can't get this weight shifting again!
B Scrambled eggs, apple and tangerine
L Cottage cheese, salad and gherkins
Snack -Fibre one bar (4.5)
D Bacon, poached egg, spinach, mushrooms and tomatoes. Strawberries with Sweet Freedom syrup and LF squirty cream (1 for the syrup, not sure re the cream but only had a little)
Under 10 syns for the day.
HEA - milk in drinks HEB - haven't had it. Do you still have it on speed days??0 -
