    Evening :)

Tete - glad the new job is working out well. Nothing worse than being bored I agree. Much prefer a job where lunchtime seems to happen about an hour after you started work, and 4.30pm surprises you that the working day is almost done. That's my day most days. Never get as much done as I wished to, but no day is the same either.

Abbafan - I agree with the other posters here. Congrats on your loss so far, and so long as the numbers stay down, and even if it's a slow process, keeping that downward trend is the way to go. I can't offer much more advice than stick with it. I had reasonable losses in the first couple or so months, but plateaued pretty much for the next 3. I am only just feeling like I 'might' be over that hump a bit more now. *crosses fingers*

Had a bit of an off-plan treat today, but everything else on plan:
B - slice of melon with nectarine & 0% plain greek yogurt
    L - bacon sandwich HEB & (6)
D - HM cottage pie with carrots/celery/onions, 5% minced beef & baked beans, mash with black pepper & gravy (1)
Treat - portion of M&S lattice apple pie with squirty light cream. Going to say 15 syns for the portion, just to play safe. That means I have to reign in syns over the next few days to make up for it.

So today I decided I'm just over 2 stone lighter than I was in January, and in March I tried/attempted to try on several items of clothing that have sat in my cupboards & drawers for far too long, in the hope I'd be slimmer and able to wear them again. This morning I thought I'd have a try of them again (I'd arranged a stack of jeans in size order, knowing the lower down the stack I go the smaller they get). So I was delighted when I was managing to get into some of them, and some were even loose on me.... but then I realised that it's taken me so many years to slim back into most of them that they're all completely out of fashion!! So, anyone got any ideas when fashion from the early noughties might be making it's way back around? I think S Club were in the charts around the time these bad boys were last on trend :o OH has tried to convince me I should hang onto them as fashion always comes back around, but I'm liable to have been long drawing my pension and unable to lift my legs into them by then!! :rotfl:

    Evening everyone.

Good to hear that you've had a good start in your new job, Tete
Abbafan, join me in the very slow losers club (or in my case not at all lately...)

Just a quick post with today's menu - I think it's a speed day??? I do struggle to get my head around that. I'm trying alternate days as speed days and upping my water intake to see if I can't get this weight shifting again!

B Scrambled eggs, apple and tangerine
L Cottage cheese, salad and gherkins
    Snack -Fibre one bar (4.5)
D Bacon, poached egg, spinach, mushrooms and tomatoes. Strawberries with Sweet Freedom syrup and LF squirty cream (1 for the syrup, not sure re the cream but only had a little)
Under 10 syns for the day.

HEA - milk in drinks HEB - haven't had it. Do you still have it on speed days??

That is definitely an SP day. The squirty cream is fairly low syn. Depends on brand as to how many syns it is. The Anchor one is 1 syn for 12.5g; the Aldi one is 1.5 syns for 12g; a general reduced fat one is 0.5 syns for 3 Tbs, although I think it's probably quite difficult to measure! I've no idea because I don't actually like it! If I'm going to have cream I'd rather have the real stuff and have less of it and syn it.

On SP days you can have the same HEs as EE days, ie 2 HEA and 1 HEB and up to 10 syns.

Do you go to group? If you do reread the SP booklet.

Basically it's like EE but you don't have any carbs - potatoes, rice, pasta etc or starchy vegetables - peas and baked beans; or starchy fruits - bananas. Everything you have should be Protein or Speed and you should have at least 50% Speed foods.

    HTH.

    Denise

Sary, can you modify your jeans?
Chop em off and fray them?
Cut some sexy rips in them?
Make into shorts or a skirt?
I love Crafty Panda on you tube....

Or just put them in the charity bag......

Well done on getting into them again. :T
