Ladies, what wonderful loses you are all having.
I have not fallen off the wagon.... but my foot is dragging on the floor.
It will be back on the wagon next week when things settle a little... although off to Pride at the weekend... so the wagon may have run over me by then!!!
Sary, I agree with maman, she is spending a fortune on unhealthy food. I don't know what your circumstances are, but what about offering to bring her lunch one day... see if she likes it. Or get her to walk around the block with you.
I have realised that as I have gone into summer shoes, that I am not walking as much as I did... I would take a telephone call walking around the office... walk to meetings nearby etc. I miss my big comfy, supportive boots.
Anyway my list to day is
GDPR (for work tomorrow) - Completed
Open a business - Completed - takes 2 days oops!
Open a business bank account
Sort out vehicle recovery - Completed
Sort out car - delegated to OH
Do a report for last job (1 have 3 left to do)
dye hair product on head
do nails
Sort handbag/bag of office out
I am going to drink strong coffee... and if I pop back on here.... shout at me please.... I need you to be cruel to be kind!100 -

I started my new role last week and it seems it's going to be a busy one (not a bad thing, compared to the last couple of jobs I've had where there's not much to do and you just watch the clock all the time - excruciating). Anyway I'm just looking forward to being settled in work in a permanent job at last.
Good to hear you are settling in, hope you colleagues are nice.... it makes all the difference xx100 -
Abbafan - Curl girl is right, you could well have put on even more if you hadn't rejoined so well done on persevering. It'll come good in the end. You're very near to getting your 1st shiney! I was always a slow loser - just half a pound most weeks with the occasional lb. If often think if you lose it slowly you're more likely to keep it off.
I'm also with Curl girl on only cooking one meal for the family. I only ever cooked one meal and if anyone didn't want it then they could have a sandwich or something as long as they made it themselves! It certainly didn't happen very often and both my kids and DH eat pretty much anything.
Well done on the new jobs Tete and SSM. I found Working from Home to be better than in the office as I just went into my "office" and could get on with what I needed to do without constant interuptions from people calling me! I still got the emails but I could deal with them at a time convenient to me. I tended to be doing figure work when I worked from home which took a lot more concentration than most of my other work so having a quiet environment really helped. Good luck with it.
Back shortly, just need to hang out my 2nd load of washing since I got home!

Back again. All washing now done and hanging out on the line. Don't think it'll take long to dry today as there is a little bit of breeze along with the sun.
Today's plan:
B - bacon & mushroom sandwich - HEB + 3 for spread
L - jacket potato, beans & salad
D - tray bake with lamb chops; potatoes, sweet potatoes, carrots, onions, peppers. Will also do some green veg - probably brussels & peas. Splash of gravy (don't bother synning as I only have a dessertspoonful so not even 1/2 syn's worth)
HEA - milk
HEB - bread
Syns - spread 3
Need to keep Syns low between now and WI on Thursday morning as over synned at the weekend as usual, LOL! Just need to work out how many I have left for the rest of the week.

So sorry to hear your sad news Chris, make sure you look after yourself so that you can be there for your son.
Congrats on new jobs SSM & Tete.
I may have synned:eek: Afternoon tea was yesterday, up at 6:30 so that I could sort out for any vegans who may have turned up, finish off the cakes, shower, load the car and then empty it at the hall so that I could fill it up again in Costco! First thought when I woke up, I didn't do the overnight oats, had planned on this as I don't like breakfast first thing but I could have to eat before we started laying tables etc. Result, I didn't eat a thing until I got home, which was scone, clotted cream & jam as I was too tired to even think. Could have been so much worse, as there was cakes, cakes & more cakes! Today is another day and all attendees yesterday really enjoyed it and wanted to know when the next one is  Need to recover first, but the important thing is that we cleared just under £600, which when you consider the tickets were only £6.50, that was amazing.A smile costs little but creates much0 -

ChrisV I am so sorry to hear your sad news about daughter-in-law. What a dreadful time for your family. Thinking of you all xx
Bubbs glad op went well & that foot/leg is improving too. bummer about having to go back again tho.
Beanie - glad to hear you're still within target range.
Sunshine - good luck with the new job.
Am pleased to report a loss of -2lb this week. That's been a long time coming, but hope that now my back is almost back to normal being able to move around again is helping. OH has been vicariously boasting about my weightloss to his colleagues at work, who he says have all gained a LOT of weight over the past year (it's the work evironment they are in with biscuits, chocolates, and cakes always around to pick at), but he has been telling them about all the lovely food we have been having, so he's tryiing to encourage them to follow SW.
CurlGirl I have had a new lady has started work with me and she is very overweight (I'd guess about 22 stone-ish), and whilst I would never say anything to her unless promted, she has been asking about the food I'm eating. I have suggested SW to her, but she's not got a great deal of £ available, and the weekly membership is too much for her to afford right now. It's quite tough sitting opposite someone who is eating so incredibly badly ALL day. Breakfast is a microwaved bread muffin with melted cheese, followed by a large bag of Haribo, a tube of Pringles, a 6 pack of Skips throughout the day, a microwaved cheeseburger for lunch, and I've no idea what she has at home at night. She also wheels herself to the printer on her chair, rather than take 2 steps to it, and asked was there a trolley in the building to use to put her files on as she didn't want to have to carry them like the rest of us. She's a lovely young lady, but I can really see my younger self in her, and want to say don't do it! Don't keep eating yourself to unhappiness, because I know that's what it did to me. I think it has to be a real attitude and mind-set though for the person embarking on tackling their weightloss journey. I know that last year I wasn't in the right headspace to do it, but this year, despite having a lot of negative stuff going on in my family and work life, it's been more do-able.
I have always felt that the great thing about SW is that it is the perfect plan for people who love to eat food, and can't cope with being deprived of it. That's why its fab for anyone with a big appetite (like me!)
Wha she is spending on crap can buy cheap fresh fruit /veg/salad esp at the moment offers on everywhere!!
This mrning i bought vibe ripened tomatoes for 45p in tesco! also noticed they have melons at £1, sainsburys have nectarines/peaches/melon all cheap and then there is Aldi super 6!Abbafan1972 wrote: »Hi Guys, hope everyone is well,
I lost 0.5lb at group yesterday.
Since re-joining SW in December I have lost the grand total of 6.5lb!
Despondent is putting it mildly - not to mention it's getting expensive, as I am the only person in my household who is attempting to eat healthily - usually end up cooking at least 3 x different meals of an evening.
My health is suffering - I have excruciating pains in my shoulders and knees - blood tests for arthritis came back clear - they only found a vitamin D deficiency which the doctor told me to take over the counter vitamin D tablets, which I am. Have started taking cod liver oil tablets, but only been on them a few days to notice any difference. Had to take 2 x co-codomol this morning as woke up in pain and could barely move.
Work is difficult, as more and more is expected of us - I am tempted to ask for a pay rise! Or I am tempted to go on the sick.
Sorry to go off on a tangent there. Happy Sunday Everyone. xTete_en_l'Air wrote: »Hello all, gosh some of you are going through the mill at the moment aren't you? So sorry to hear your news Chris and Sue - my heart breaks for both of you.
Glad the op went well Bubbs and hope you're back on your feet soon!
Ouch Sary to the ninja cat attack! Mine don't go for me as such like that but it can hurt when they catch me by accident.
