  • Right ok, I will change to the lighter mayo, everyone likes the salad cream so it wont go to waste, and you can call me whatever you want, my husband calls me 'stitch' as I like to sew lol :) that probably would have been a better user name anyway :)

Back from gymnastics and absolutely shattered even though I wasn't the one bouncing around the gym! So off to bed me thinks with my final tea and my second Jaffa Cake Alpen Bar!

I had my dinner when we came back as I wasn't hungry when I fed the kids and I didn't fancy cold chicken salad.

What I did was heat the chicken and pasta and have a hard boiled egg and salad, cucumber and pepper with it. It was okay, but I found it all a bit bland and dry. I did put fat free vinegrette on it - would that be free or do I have to syn it?

I start my week on a Monday and so far over the three days I have had 18 syns. I think in my head I want to save them for weekend prosecco, but I think I can go do much that way and find the diet very boring.

I didn't particularly enjoy my dinner today, but I know it was a mish mash of stuff and not what I would normally have. I think I will miss sauces quite a bit and so think I will need to look up some good ones to go with chicken that's not out of a jar.

    My plan for tomorrow:-

    B - Coffee (HEA1), watermelon (S), banana (F)

    L - Crustless quiche (HEA2), salad (S), cucumber (s), WW Dessert Yog (0.5), Hula Hoop Pufts (3.5).

D - gammon (P), potatoes (F), veg (not sure which, but I know there is broccoli and carrots in the fridge (S), mustard (it's a kind of Dijon one, so is that free?)

    S - Alpen Bars x 2 (HEB), Tea x 3 (HEA1).

Still haven't dug out that SW books. Spent my last day off on the sofa as so tired for some reason.

    Evening everyone.

Welcome newbies - stick with the thread, lots of support and good ideas here!

Denise, so sorry to hear your sad news.

Today ended up a bit of a write off, I'm afraid, not at home as expected (in a good way) so the plan went to pot. Line drawn and back on the horse tomorrow. Apart from today I have pretty much stuck to plan this week but I feel like I've eaten an awful lot, so no high hopes for weighing in tomorrow.

    Have a good evening, all.

Still not gone to bed, oops.

This icecream that I do be seeing in the freezers with a huge 350 on it. I think it's halo or something. How many syns would something like that be?

    Evening,

Denise so sorry to hear your sad news. Life just isn’t fair sometimes. Dreadful for you all, and especially your best friend. :(

Arkers wishing you well for you upcoming treatment.

DIMW you are doing great! I am doing the plan at home without the new books too, and it’s great to have this thread as a resource. I started in January and am 2.5st down (hoping for 3st by Xmas) and lose quite slowly too, so it is definitely doable not going to class.

I agree about making a note of meal plans each day, and I have ordered a Pinch of N0m meal plan book from the Book club in work for £4. I thought it would be really useful to look back at weeks there that have good losses, and for meal planning for shopping too. Great idea to use for those of us not able to get them from group.

Have stuck with plan fully today, and thoroughly enjoyed all I’ve had. That’s my key to sticking to plan, everything I eat must be lovely and enjoyable.

Bed is calling so night all
One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

Oh well in that case Bubbs I will have to make that quiche, can you freeze it? If I ate the yogurt and cut up a banana and stirred it in it would that be free? :)

You'll find pureed/stewed fruit syn values in the back of the old book. They're also on syns online (for those with access), just put in the name of the fruit and you'll find it. For example, pureed apple or berries are 1.5 syns for 100g.

I think the reasoning is because some of the fibre is broken down by mashing up the fruit.

Banana is fine but you'd be better off with a Speed fruit. :)

Fat free vinaigrette doesn't have syns. Dijon mustard is 0.5 for a teaspoon.

Take a look at the labels on the jars of sauces and try to copy them. Most are either passata or chopped tomatoes with garlic, herbs and spices and plenty of seasoning added.

Have you thought of using pasta n sauce or savoury rice as a base instead of basic pasta which can be quite bland.

If you tell us the sort of meals you enjoy, most have a SW way of doing them. :)

Well done for sticking with the plan today despite not enjoying it much. :T
