It never occurred to me to use George for a toastie. I use a Breville when we fancy a toasted sandwich but they're a bit hard for me.

Good day for me yesterday, snacked on fruit and loads of speed for T.
Did have a bag of crisps with my sandwich at lunch though!

    Let's see what today brings.

    Morning all.

I used toaster bags. Not sure where they are from, but little bags that you stick a sandwich in and then stick it in the toaster.

  • My plan for today has gone a bit sequ-iff (sp).

Have to have an early dinner today as taking DD2 to gymnastics which starts at 6pm which is usually our dinner time.

Was going to have LO spag bol with them, but am now picking up DD2's friend from school and it makes more sense for her to have my portion of spag bol and me to find something else.

Or I make a salad or something to take with me while watching gymnastics. But I'm not sure I'm in the "mood" for yet more salad. I like SW, but need a bit of variety.

I have taken out LO chicken which I was thinking of putting with pasta and salad, but harrumph, I don't know. I know it's ages away and I have to have lunch in between.

Last day off work, so planning on soup and a WM roll for lunch. Figured this would break it up if I need to have a cold dinner.

Oh gosh, the dilemma! But I hate my dinner times being messed with. But something I have to get used to on Wednesdays, hahah.

    So meal plan:-

    B - coffee (HEA), watermelon (S), banana (F)

L - broccoli and blue cheese soup (1/3 Hea or 2syns), WM roll (HEB), WW Dessert Yogurt (0.5), Hula Hoop Pufts (3.5)

D - undecided, but chicken involved.

    S - Alpen Bar (3syns), Tea x 3 (HEA)

  • Good morning, think I have caught up now, thread is moving a bit faster these days :rotfl: Welcome to new joiners and returners! Still thinking of those missing, when time is right hopefully they will make their way back...

Went to WI yesterday and gained 1lb boohiss. Not impressed and a bit puzzled if I am honest. But then I didn’t expect my 1.5lb loss the week before either. It is not like those two weeks have been very different. Anyway, I want to loose weight, not put it on, so have decided to go back to recording what I eat for a while, just to focus myself really. I did this when I first started and it really kept me on track. Combining this with keeping an eye on portion size too should do the trick.

Have had a hectic time with RL recently. But today OH and DS left for a weeks roadtrip thru Europe, so just me and DD to focus on. She is off to uni next week, so all exciting stuff. Must make a plan for that day as I will be driving for about 5hrs off it, to Cardiff and back :o.

I had assumed tinned sweetcorn was speed, but this has just reminded me I have to be a bit more careful and check stuff properly.

Anyway, I shouldn’t let myself get down in the dumps and let this 1lb gain derail me. I have still lost 4.5st since Jan and will lose more. Must stick to the plan cos it works!!! :):):):)

    Good luck everyone ;).

    Poundsinbucks x
    🥳🥳 SW -6st 3.5lbs 🥳🥳

Pollyanna....re heck ..... Aldi Chicken Italian sausage are under £2 per pack and if not made by same company I will eat my hat:rotfl:

Hope that hat doesn't have many syns!:D

Good to see you posting sary. maybe RL will calm down a bit soon but very well done on sticking to plan rather than comfort eating. :T

I'm not very loyal to any particular group vegastare. I have one that's at the same day and time as I started with which is my official 'home' but it's a different consultant as my original one went back to work as her children got older and now only does evenings. She wasn't that good (nice but dim;)) so I don't miss her hugely. I think some people get very involved in groups and make/go along with friends. When I'm in target range, like you, I only go to WI every couple of months so I'm not really part of the details like that. :)

I've taken to writing everything down too poundsinbucks. I do it on here but I also write it in a notebook with a running total of how many syns I've used. I think it helps. :)

I'll do a different post for the questions in a moment.

    My EE plan for today:
B: NAS grapefruit (free squash), HEB porage with HEA milk, banana and skinny syrup (free)
    L: bacon(P) and veggie (S) omelette (P) with beetroot (S)
D: JP (free) with cottage cheese (P), spring onions and beetroot (S)
    Syns: 0

I needed a quick meal for dinner by myself so egg and chips will have to wait for another day.:(

    Morning :)
I've had a quick read and have come up with a plan for today, it's not great but I need to do shopping later to be better.

It wouldn't be very mse:money: if you didn't use up what you had in but it will be easier when you just buy SW friendly stuff.:)
Breakfast: Cup of tea, apple and tangerine
Dinner: Homemade bread 1 slice (I haven't got any other bread) and 2 eggs scrambled with a bit of milk
Tea: Rocket, cucumber, tomatoes, pickled beetroot, chicken and SW chips
I am hoping the homemade bread slice will be some of my heb and probably syns :) and the milk in the scrambled egg and cups of tea will also be hea. Then a milky coffee hea again and one sugar syns (not sure how many) and two rich tea biscuits with a cup of tea tonight again not sure on syns yet.

Until you buy a wholemeal loaf (or make one and weigh an average slice) then you'll just have to pretend that's where your HEB will be. You'll be allowed 60g. A thick slice of white bread is 5 syns.

Depending on which milk you use you should be OK for your drinks with your HEA. Recently SW introduced a second HEA each day so you could use up the lot but most of us are used to just having one and keep the 2nd HEA as a sort of stand by IYSWIM. Semi skimmed is 250 mls for a HEA.

Rich Tea biscuits are 2 syns each for McVities but they do vary with brand so 2.5 is safer. A teaspoon of sugar is 1 syn.

I am going to buy bananas when I go shopping as I love them and they are my go to snack. Also aldi fat free Greek yogurt..would this be free?

Bananas are very healthy, fill you up and contain potassium but they're not a Speed fruit. Enjoy them but remember not to count them in your third of Speed food a day. Yes, Aldi 0% Greek Yogurt is free and it's also Protein.
What do you think of all this so far??

    It's a great start. Well done!:T

Well done for thinking it through. You're right that this will be your pattern for a Wednesday so you need to plan for it. Even if salad was OK tonight it won't be as we get into winter.

I think it depends on how important it is for you to have your 'dinner' at gymnastics. Personally I'd have a coffee and maybe fruit or an Alpen and then make myself a hot meal later even if it was quick and simple like a JP. For today you could make a pasta salad with the chicken and salad bits chopped in that's a bit more comforting than just salad on a plate. Or you could take soup in a flask. I'm sure you'll decide but great idea to include Wednesday timings in your weekly meal plan.
Last day off work, so planning on soup and a WM roll for lunch. Figured this would break it up if I need to have a cold dinner.

Good idea. Is this your HM soup?
    So meal plan:-

D - undecided, but chicken involved.

    S - Alpen Bar (3syns), Tea x 3 (HEA)

That's spot on with the food values. :T Whatever you decide you'll need plenty of Speed with your dinner as just water melon and some broccoli so far. :)
