Thank you bubbs!
Well I don't know where to start. I will go back and read this whole thread I think. It's hard to remember but I used to do Extra easy and I don't remember ever feeling hungry. At the moment compared with what I have been eating it seems as though I can eat a huge amount. Is pasta free? How many syns would I have? My head is spinning with it allWeight loss 6lb/16lb 10lb to goI spend an insane amount of time wondering if I am doing it right, sometimes I remind myself that I am doing my best....and that is enough0 -

Sorry tessie I don't know how to do links on my phone but I adapt the Delia traditional braised red cabbage with apple recipe. If you Google it comes up straight away.
I substitute the sugar for sweetener and often use eating apples. Otherwise it's the same ingredients. I rarely add the knobs of butter but if you do it'll be a bit more glossy. I know technically I should syn cooked apple and sweetener but as we only eat a small portion each time I don't bother.
I think that's the same recipe as on the website as I do exactly the same using that one. SW say it's supposed to make 8 portions at 0.5 Syns per portion but I get far more than 8 portions out of a red cabbage! and definitely don't bother synning it.

Welcome doing it my way . Good to have you with us.
Pasta is still free and you can have up to 105 syns a week.
:T on your losses so far but you're right to get on board with healthy eating.
I say 'up to' as that last few pounds can be hard to shift so you might want to try 105 and maybe lower them if needed. You can get back to the full amount when you're at target.0 -
Welcome doing it my way. Good idea to have a read of the thread. The first page sets out the basic EE plan so should help bring it all back to you. There are also links to lots of SW recipes. You'll find some more near the beginning of the Grocery challenge thread in the Old Style forum - just scroll down until you come to the SW Recipes heading.
As Bubbs says there is usually someone around to answer questions and sin queries.
Pasta is definitely Free - just eat until you feel full not stuffed though! You also need to try and eat one third of your food as Speed foods which are most vegetables and fruits although there are exceptions - things like sweetcorn kernels and corn on the cob although baby corn is Speed!
Basically the plan is you can eat as much Free, Speed and Protein foods as you like until you are full, not stuffed. In addition you get 2 Healthy Extra A choices (HEAs) and 1 Healthy Extra B choice (HEB). You also get 15 syns for whatever extras you want to use them for like sauces, gravy, wine, chocolate etc.
HEAs are for calcium so milk and cheeses.
HEBs are for fibre - bread, cereals, nuts etc
Just shout if you need anything else.
Denise
PS. Bubbs and Maman beat me to it!0 -
I had a gadget 'cull' when I decorated the kitchen and got rid of anything gathering dust. I kept my stick blender (for soups mainly) food processor which gets quite a lot of use and slow cooker. George Foreman had to be kept for DD2 who loves a toastie but as she's not around till November I might sneak that out. Breadmaker is under threat as I find it quicker to do by hand.
Thanks.
It never occurred to me to use George for a toastie. I use a Breville when we fancy a toasted sandwich but they're a bit hard for me.
Good day for me yesterday, snacked on fruit and loads of speed for T.
Did have a bag of crisps with my sandwich at lunch though!
Let's see what today brings.
Morning all.curl girl with a space - even though there is no space in my cupboard!!!0 -
Morning all,
Have tried to do a quick catch up of the thread as I’m about 5 days out of date. Life is a tad hectic for me right now, being pulled in lots of directions, loved ones close to me not coping well with life, and needing extra support, so time for me is seriously lacking.
Usually I’d use times like this as an excuse to be off plan. Not this time! Had a gain last week after OH & I had a few days holiday the week before (caught up With me, as it always does). Pleased to say the gain has gone, plus a tiny bit extra, so hopeful for either Sts or loss by Friday. Have been super busy at home too, building sheds, moving crates, etc. Which I think definitely helped with losses. Being busy stops me eating, and then I’m too knackered to snack afterwards!
Meal plan today:
B - 0% skyr with banana
L - mixed salad leaves, cucumber, tomato, chicken, carrot & dressing (1.5)
Snack - melon, strawberries & mango
D - BGTY sausages (3), mash & beans. Gravy (2)
Snack - nectarine
HEA - milk in tea/coffee
No HEB planned
Have a good day everyone. One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing
Be nice to your children, they'll choose your care home0 -
Morning - :hello: to Doing it My Way....feel like breaking into song:rotfl:
Soup maker off shopping list - I to am SC girl, made a chicken medley on Monday. New thread y'day on SC meals.
Pollyanna....re heck ..... Aldi Chicken Italian sausage are under £2 per pack and if not made by same company I will eat my hat:rotfl:
Talking about said German supermarket had my ear bent by SW member yesterday while shopping.
As a moved away Lancashire Lass have to say "By gum there's trouble brewing at Mill"....or the folk at my SW group are not to happy, only go every few weeks as back at target, but seems the consultant is not pleasing everyone, I think it must be hard taking over a group that someone else has established,I think she is just guilty of trying too hard, but seems the ones I didn't see at last meeting have moved to another group.
Something tells me the last job I'd want is to be a consultant, although it must have it's rewards when you see clients have great weight loss and health improvements.
Catch up soon.0 -
Morning
I've had a quick read and have come up with a plan for today, it's not great but I need to do shopping later to be better.
Breakfast: Cup of tea, apple and tangerine
Dinner: Homemade bread 1 slice (I haven't got any other bread) and 2 eggs scrambled with a bit of milk
Tea: Rocket, cucumber, tomatoes, pickled beetroot, chicken and SW chips
I am hoping the homemade bread slice will be some of my heb and probably synsand the milk in the scrambled egg and cups of tea will also be hea. Then a milky coffee hea again and one sugar syns (not sure how many) and two rich tea biscuits with a cup of tea tonight again not sure on syns yet.
I am going to buy bananas when I go shopping as I love them and they are my go to snack. Also aldi fat free Greek yogurt.. would this be free? What do you think of all this so far??Weight loss 6lb/16lb 10lb to goI spend an insane amount of time wondering if I am doing it right, sometimes I remind myself that I am doing my best....and that is enough0
