Doing it my way The books will be OK as a start but a few things have changed since then! I suspect it's earlier than 2010 as that's when EE came in (it was the year I started SW properly but Red and Green were still around).
Generally you're right about the Free foods although some of those have changed as well and some are now syns. It would have been when foods were Super Free (SF) if I remember rightly, if so then they are in the main what are now referred to as Speed.
It might be worth posting your plans on here with the values shown in the old book and we can check what values they are now.

Ok Beanielou when I can I will get updated books, thank you.
Joedenise here is what I ate today: According to this boook S is speed and SS is superspeed, F is free
Breakfast: An apple S and a clementine S with a cup of tea (milk from HEA)
Dinner: Soup made from broccolli S, carrots S, sweet potato F , mushrooms S and onions S
Tea: 1 Egg S, pickled beetroot S, a tomato S, cucumber S, rocket S, two roast chicken slices S, and some new potatoes F which I boiled then grilled (hardly ate any of them I was too full) and a wholemeal roll 63g from my HEB.
Snacks were milky coffee from HEA
Syns were 2 tsp sugar, 2 syns, 2tbsp salad cream, 2.5 syns, 2 jaffa cakes 2.5 syns each, total = 9.5 syns
The book says 250ml for semi skimmed milk and you can have two HEA and two HEB, but I know now it is only 1 HEB.
Tomorrow I am thinking I will have 0% fat free greek style yogurt with frozen fruit blended with water. I am not sure if this will be free or not?
Thanks for the advice, I can't believe the amount I have eaten today, especially tonight, my plate was so full I left the potatoes. I was good though I ate all the speed food first, then the healthy extra roll and by then I couldn't eat the potatoes
The picture above looks soooooo good
And so does a picture I have seen of a crustless quicheWeight loss 6lb/16lb 10lb to goI spend an insane amount of time wondering if I am doing it right, sometimes I remind myself that I am doing my best....and that is enough0 -

Oh well in that case Bubbs I will have to make that quiche, can you freeze it? If I ate the yogurt and cut up a banana and stirred it in it would that be free?Weight loss 6lb/16lb 10lb to goI spend an insane amount of time wondering if I am doing it right, sometimes I remind myself that I am doing my best....and that is enough0

Doing it my way - think we should call you DIMW as name is so long to type!
Most of what you've typed is right. A few things which aren't right now are:
Eggs are now Protein not Speed; Fat free Greek style yoghurt is Free but Greek Yoghurt is Protein!; Frozen fruit is Speed - however if you blend it you need to Syn it but not sure how many as I just eat it as nature intended! Maybe some else might know how many Syns Bubbs, Beanie, Maman?.
250ml SS milk is HEA. You are right it is now 2 HEA and 1 HEB.
Salad cream is 2 Syns per Tbs so that is now higher syn - so 4 syns not 2.5; Jaffa cakes are still 2.5 each.
To save syns on your salad cream you might think about changing to Lighter than Light mayo as that is only 0.5 Syns per Tbs but of course use up your salad cream first (or let the family eat that and you keep the LTL mayo to yourself:D.
