Change of plan for lunch! I'd forgotten we were going to DH's sister and brother in law after we'd had the car done. So nipped into M&S for something quick for lunch when we got home. As it was going to be a late lunch I also bought some mussels in a shallot & garlic sauce, they were OK but wouldn't buy again. Half a pack worked out at 2 Syns. Had it with a WM roll so used that as HEB and synned the porridge this morning.

I also bought some low fat hummus & carrot sticks to eat in the car. DH had already had a sausage in a roll when we stopped for a cup of tea so only pinched one carrot stick and some hummus. So that was another 3 syns.

So instead of a low syn day I've ended up on 12.5. Have worked it out and I've only got about 9 syns a day left until Wednesday. Think there won't be any more alcohol over the weekend!

Thanks for the review of the mussels Denise . I love them but never cook them at home. Technically I could use one of the Tesco white wine stockpots but seems too much faff.:o

I'm having a low syn day today despite going out to escape from the building work. I went to Subway and bought a salad pot and pleased to see they now have low fat mayo since my last visit. And I had an Americano in Costa but that would be in my HEAs.

Today's EE plan :
B: NAS grapefruit, HEB porage with skinny syrup and half banana, HEA milk
L: Subway salad with ham
D: BGTY burger, SW chips, onions, carrots, tomatoes, mushrooms, asparagus and broccoli
Syns : burger 1, mayo 1

Hello
Can I join in here please? I’ve been a lurker for a long time but I think there was time to take the plunge!

I’m a 42 year-old man and I’ve been doing slimming world since the beginning of February and I’ve managed to lose about two stone. This is disappointingly slow since I have about another seven stone to lose.

I’ve been working on the assumption that it is best to lose weight slowly though so I haven’t been completely unhappy about it. I can certainly feel the difference. I find the principles of slimming world fairly easy to work with and I don’t usually feel too deprived. I think for me the main thing is to get used to the new way of eating. Once I have gotten used to it I stay on plan quite easily until something happens to throw me off it!

Over the past week I have come off plan almost entirely, after a small holiday visiting family. I didn’t dare go to group last week or this week because I know the result is going to be terrible and I don’t know if I can face it! I feel disgusted at myself for the amount of crap I have eaten. I can’t even say that I enjoyed it. Food is a compulsion for me most of the time, rather than a pleasure.

Does anyone have any strategy for getting back on track after a big lapse? I really could use some encouragement or advice!
Hello and welcome:D
Don't be afarid to go back, we all fall at some point, hold your head up high, pay the back fees and just think how far you have done, You have done really well:T:T:T
Having had an unexpected gain last week, I was terrified getting on the scales last night, smashed it and some:D Was staggered to lose - 3 1/2 lb. Was so chuffed, not only having reversed the gain but finally hit the 4 1/2st loss. The last stone has been painfully slow, so hoping this is the turning point and I can start to lose again. I am 1/2 st from original target, but would like to lose an additional 2, ideally with 1 by Christmas (hopefully more), bearing in mind I will finally be going on holiday in a couple of weeks:D Whatever happens, I will keep ploughing on.

Hope all well with you Chris & Lord P & Sue, may not post as regularly as some, but do think about you

Denise, hopefully you will get to go away.

Beanie, who cares about food as family is important!

Bubbs - is Bubbs:rotfl:

Wannalot - one of our members has been away and went off plan more than she expected. Decided not to come to group this week as she felt out of focus, so has taken the extra week to refocus for her return next week and I know that she will return re-energised and with more enthusiasm, just write your last couple of weeks off, hold your head up high & return reciting the mantra "I know I can do this!"
:T:T:T:T well done, bubbs is bubbs:eek: cheek!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Maman did you not weigh this week?

Made a mistake with the Syns for today - it was actually 10.5 not 12.5. Now have 9.5 Syns left per day:D so not that bad I suppose.

Drank a whole bottle of wine Thursday night - was really p*ssed off Thursday after hospital!

Like winter here as well, definitely peeing it down as well! Can't believe it's so dark already.

Tea looks lush bubbs .I could enjoy that.

No, I didn't go to WI. I booked a holiday as I knew with my anniversary meal I wasn't going to lose. I've eaten out again since so if I get STS this week I'll be pleased.

It's a horrible day here too and it's in for the weekend I think. :(

Just had 3 syns of chocolate.;)
