Good that you've drawn the line and got straight back on it. Your final paragraph is a great attitude. It's probably the most useful tip for anyone new - PLAN, PLAN, PLAN.

I needed to update my menu plan yesterday to cover the last few days of the month as I was supposed to be going on holiday and now not! While I was at it I also planned my September menu plan! Plans are never set in stone and can change if I get a good YS offer or the Aldi Super 6 contain anything I can make use of for a meal, eg butternut squash, or the Lidl Weekend deals, although most of the meat isn't right for SW!

    Today's plan:

B - butchers sausages (2 syns), eggs, beans, mushrooms, tomatoes
L - warm goat's cheese salad (HEA & HEB), lettuce, cucumber, tomato, spring onions, sweetcorn (if my Iceland delivery arrives early enough!), maybe some pickled beetroot & pickled onions too
D - Roast beef, roast potatoes, roast onions, peppers, mixed veg, splash of gravy

    HEA1- milk - about 100mls in teas
    HEA2 - goats cheese
    HEB - bread
    Syns - 2 sausages (2 syns)

    Good afternoon everyone,
A few of you stalwarts may or may not remember me, but hope you don't mind me making an appearance. I need to get back on track and try to keep up to date with what's happening with SW. I would like to shift 5lbs to get back on target.

I have had some serious health issues recently, and I'm still undergoing treatment. One of the drugs I'm on (tamoxifen) is quite frankly evil and I'm finding that it's leading to unwanted side effects which is impacting on my weight.

May not take part in the short term challenges and if it's ok with you guys just chip in as and when, but would be grateful for any support if I do.

    Thanks for listening

Welcome back Arkers. I remember you and I suspect quite of few others will too.

No need to take part in the challenges and to just pop in whenever you can.

Hope your health is improving, nothing worse than being on a treatment that makes you feel ill. I'm having regular visits to hospital on a weekly basis and waiting for appointment with 2 different consultants!

If you need to ask any questions feel free, there's usually someone around who can answer.

Are you going to group or just doing it by yourself at home? Are you aware that you are now allowed 2 HEAs and 1 HEB? Most of us don't have the 2nd HEA every day, just use it when it suits us! Like me today: I've used one for some goat's cheese and part of the other for milk in teas but only about 100mls of it.

If it will help you can always post your menu plans on here for comments or just to give others ideas! I often pinch ideas from other's menus if I see something I fancy but not had for a while or not had before to add to my next month's menu. I'm one of those sad people who menu plan for a month at a time!

Hi and welcome back! Have been on tamoxifen 6 years now (5 years initially, then extended to 10 years for now). Started SW back in Jan this year and hope to get my 4.5st shiny on Tuesday :D. Gone from a size 20/22 to a size 16 and still going. Lots of hot flushes but no more periods :o. Sorry if TMI.

Not sure how long ago you did SW before, things have changed somewhat. Muller Lights now have 0.5-1 syns, you are allowed 1x HEb and 2x HEa, so lots of folk spend the second HEa on cheese.

If you have any Qs, we have a right mix of members with lots of knowledge to learn from frequenting this board and always happy to look up stuff on the SW website.

    Poundsinbucks x :)

It's not sad at all. It's organised, super organised!:T

I've portioned up Bolognese that I did in SC yesterday and made swede & carrot mash for today and for the freezer. As usual, I'm doing loads of veg for some my lunches during the week.

We're having HB steaks today. I'm not counting the syns (tsp of cornflour shared) in the gravy as I rounded up the curry syns yesterday (1.5 for whole pack which we shared). I notice you had HB steaks a week or so back denise. Do you freeze it?

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, strawberries, 0% yogurt, HEA milk for drinks
L: veggie omelette, ham, pickles, tomato
D: HB steaks, SW roast potatoes, swede & carrot mash, red cabbage, celeriac, broccoli, cabbage, kale, broad beans
    Syns: weekend wine:j

Maman Thanks. I don't think of it as being super organised but suppose it is. I don't know how anyone copes with not planning! I used to hate it years ago when it was always "what shall we have for dinner"! Much prefer planning well. Also means using stuff from freezer.

I have frozen HB steaks before but often only make enough for the day, really depends how much braising steak I've got in the freezer when I make it. I don't always use steaks as such, I often do it with cubed braising steak or skirt steak, works well and seems to be even more tender.

Got a bit involved with some sewing this afternoon so dinner is going to be later than usual today! DH called me about 4.45 to ask what time dinner was going to be, knowing I'd got a large joint from the freezer to cook. Oops! will be lucky if we have dinner before 7.30 today - we usually eat around 6pm.

Hope everyone's had a good day. Not been too bad apart from some rain around midday. Forecast is for dry, sunny weather for next week. Really need to check the forecast for next week as hoping to get away for the BH weekend, leaving straight after group on Thursday.

Quite disappointed. Looking at some photos of me which i just got at a friend’s wedding in July and I look square!:( I have got a waist but it doesn’t look that way on the photos.I have only lost 2 lbs more since then. I actually felt quite good on the day but hey ho, onwards and upwards.

Denise often does Green days and most of us have success with EE. If you post your menus perhaps we can suggest why it's not working for you.
