Sleazy - have you got the Green/Red books as the Syns are different to EE? For example Green can be quite carb heavy so might not be the best bet!
Red days are similar to EESP. Might it be worth trying EESP first? With Red days you're limited with the amount of carbs you can have - a choice of 8oz jacket potato or I think 200g of new potatoes - this would be the 2nd HEB.
Maman is right, you could post your menus on here and we can see if we can spot anything which might show why EE isn't working for you.
Good luck whatever you decide.

How do you make your "ginger cakes" Bubbs?
Another busy week with hospital and Dr appointments for both of us this week! So glad I've planned and got lots of easy freezer meals sorted out!
Today's plan:
B - stuffed mushrooms
L - prawn salad
D - LO roast rib of beef in LO gravy, fried up roasties & veg
HEA - part milk/part cheese
HEB - nothing planned (only had 0.5 HEB yesterday)
Syns - none planned

Bubbs we need a recipe book....really we do!!
My sanity is at risk...having work done this week, only been here since 8.15 and my dog won't stop barking, can't put him in garden as they have work bench out there - each room I go in can hear work - so have banging head already.....
Question about returning to target range last week, in light of the work going on was thinking of going just for weigh in at an evening group, or.... holiday week so could phone up and take holiday week - just not clear about it (do understand the 3lb either way) but do I need to go each week till I loose the 1 1/2 lb to actual target.
have a good day0 -
Are you in target range Vegastare? Or did the 1.5lb put you outide the range (ie more than 3lb over actual target weight?)
If you are still in range then you don't need to go to group this week but if you have gone out of range then you will need to either go to a different group or phone and book a holiday.
Hope that makes sense.

Like denise said, if you crept back into the top end of your target range (so could be 2.5lbs above target) last week vegastare then you're in range so don't have to pay or even weigh. If you think you're so close to going out of range this week that you'd rather stay away to lose a bit more then you don't need a holiday. I've worked out that you can stay away for about 8 weeks before you lose access to the website.
The 3lbs either way is the leeway that target members get. If you go outside that range you get a week's 'grace' to try to get back in before you pay again. So if, for example, your target was 9 stone then you'd pay at either 9stone 3.5lbs and upwards or 8stone 10.5lbs and downwards.
I put jeans on to go out this morning for the first time since before my holiday. Now I know where that extra half stone is! All I've really worn in recent weeks is loose dresses or leggings around the house. It's only when I've put a skirt with a fixed waistband on that I've been really conscious of it. I've decided that leggings aren't very SW friendly as they just stretch to accommodate the extra pounds!:D
I started today with 32 syns which should have accommodated my meal out last Thursday. DD2 and DGD2 were meant to be coming here tomorrow but because of all the work going on DH has arranged to take her out instead. That invariably means shopping and lunch in some sort of chain restaurant. I'm hoping I can have a salad otherwise I've no chance of even STS.:(
Oh well, I'll worry about that tomorrow. Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, fried egg, baked beans, HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks
L: ham, pickles, LO fried vegchunky chilli, rice, cottage cheese
Syns: None!:D
I'm going dancing tonight so that'll be a bit of Body Magic. I'm sometimes hungry after an early dinner but I can snack n SW friendly stuff if needed.0 -
Hi Guys,
Thanks for the lovely welcome. I am not going to class, but for me the lack of exercise has played havoc with my target. I'm going to Devon on Wednesday for several days, so I'm hoping not to put on too much. There's too many award winning goodies in Devon!!
Denise - I'm in awe of your organisation, very impressive.
L/O roast dinner syns - gravy? 2?
Arkers x0 -
Lack of exercise shouldn't play havoc with your target! I got to target without doing any exercise. I'm a bit better now as I like walking but don't enough of it to really warrant calling it exercise, even though I got my Gold Body Magic Award because I started going out regularly did it for about 10 weeks or so and then stopped going out regularly.
I don't think of my menu planning as great organisation it just means I make sure I don't keep loads of stuff in the freezer for months on end.
With all the meat I've bought this week I shouldn't need to buy any meat, other than Linda McCartney Red Onion & Rosemary sausages to make my scotch eggs for my hospital visits! Will also only need fresh fruit and veg, yoghurt, quark & bread, cooked meats & spread for the next month or two so keep the weekly shop a bit lower which works for us as we get our state pensions weekly.
As to your gravy Syns it really depends how much gravy you have and how it's made. For example gravy granules made up are 1.5 syns per 100ml.
Would be higher if it's made with meat juices.

Re target yes I am 1 1/2 in target so an extra 1 1/2 would get me bang on. If I can find a Friday group will go anyway so as to keep me motivated for weekend:)
Hope all goes well this week Denise
Thank you again Denise and Maman0
