Glad you enjoyed it but i had to google Kir Royale:o:rotfl: I am not refined:rotfl::rotfl:

I had no idea what it was either. Suspected it was either a cocktail or a dessert of some kind! Non-drinkers like me are a dissapointment usually to those that like to sup. :o

We also sit at the table each night for dinner. Also have a table cloth and mats. OH & I were always sticklers for all of us sitting down together each night. It was a good opportunity to catch up with all the children, and we still do it now (and they still have to ask to be excused when they have dinner, even though most don't live at home now).

BTW, well done on your loss :T

I just roughly mash the potatoes and then add a beaten egg and sort of whisk it quite hard. Makes a really nice creamy mash. Obviously shouldn't ge given to very young children because of the raw egg. Both DH and I love it made this way. I haven't even looked how the PON mash is made as I've been doing it with egg for 9 years now!

    Denise

I used to make mash like that for my husband years ago, I think his mum used to make it like that. I looked up the PON mash. They use a stick blender gadget that makes super creamy mash, and it's recommended for anyone who stuggles to use a traditional masher. Was only £17.99 on amazon, so not a bad price, and the blender can be used for soup, etc too. May consider getting one, if I can contemplate not using my Nanna's old masher I inherited back in 1990. My big sisters got the jewellery, I got the kitchen utensils

Today at work was utter mayhem. We were having flooring replaced in adjacent areas to my room, and the noise and disruption was really not fun. By the time I left, I'd really had enough, and had the beginnings of a migraine. Was glad to get a bit of fresh air, and get home. Fortunately the headache did pass, as did the accompanying nausea.

    Meal plan today:
    B - melon & 0% skyr (1.5)
L - mixed leaves, carrot, tomatoes, sweetcorn, peppers, cucmber, peppered ham, dressing (1); started my 0% greek yogurt with mango & strawberries, but about 3 spoons in I really didn't feel like it, so put it back in the fridge.
D - chicken stir fry with wild rice, chili & corriander noodles & sauce (3)
    HEA - milk in tea/coffee
    snack - chicken drumstick x 2

Was meant to have the stir-fry yesterday for dinner, but DS3 unexpectedly turned up in the afternoon, and stayed for dinner... provided dinner involved sausages :D Just as well Ii'd stocked up on some extra Aldi skinny sausages yesterday afternoon then I guess ;) I make mash with a dash of milk, sometimes a blob of butter/spread, and plenty of ground black pepper and lots of mashing to make it nice and smooth.

Like some others I felt a bit 'off' today. Think I may have just been tired, as I struggled to get to sleep last night, and woke a few times during the night too. Planning on an early one tonight to give myself a chance to get more sleep.

I hope tomorrow goes okay Denise.
