    Evening everyone!

I am a bit behind as have only just found out that you've started a new thread!

Managed to lose 1lb at group this week. I have booked a holiday from group for next week, as I might be working but not sure yet and there isn't another suitable group for me to attend.

Couldn't stay at group this week as my daughter had the dentist and me a hair appointment straight after.

I hope everyone is getting on ok (I haven't really got time to catch up on the thread, as it's already on page 120!).

:T:T:T well done , hope you are getting on ok?

Good to see you posting abbafan . :)

I cooked 2 of the Aldi sausages to try along with the roasties tonight and they're a winner for me . Good value, very meaty and half a syn each. What's not to like. I only have sausages a couple of times a month but it's always good to have a low syn option. :)
  • A lot of posts to catch up on from yesterday! Bubbs we are really bad about sitting at the table, I think it’s normal to and grew up that way but DH wants to watch TV- groan! So we do try to do things properly at the weekend. In his defence he’s out quite a few evenings during the week so we don’t get to eat together anyway.

Thanks for all the comments re potatoes! I do usually cook SW friendly spuds through the week, it’s just that one meal of the week that usually the oil comes out...

anyway I did actually do a pretty good SW friendly meal: fillet steak, fondant potato, steamed carrots and asparagus, mushroom sauce. Then I lost all control and devoured a ridiculous amount of chocolate. Thought it was weird that I even was- didn’t feel hungry. Woken up this morning to my period- so that explains that :rotfl:

    Back on it today:
B- pancakes or porridge with fruit and choc spread (5)
    L- tomato and lentil soup
D- lamb leg steaks with SW roasties, carrots and peas.
    Snacks- fruits

    Have a good day!

  • Forgot to say thank you bubbs for the fibre one Syns! Might give them a try...I used to just have a crunchie for 9 Syns if I fancied something sweet and I’d forgotten all about that, might have to pick a few up.

The one plus side of austerity trixy is that Crunchie bars are shrinking! You might find it hard to buy one that's 9 syns. :D

My weekend was definitely less synful than usual so plenty left to eat out tomorrow. Still feeling out of sorts but I'm sure I'll get over it. Keep plodding.;)

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, HEB toast, scrambled eggs, HEA milk for drinks
L: cold meat, fried LO beg, pickles
D: baked haddock, mash, mushy peas, tomatoes, mushrooms, broccoli
    Syns: HP sauce 1

Good to see you again Abbafan. You're right about loads of pages to read if you haven't been reading!

Sorry to hear you're still feeling out of sorts. Hope you feel much better for your anniversary meal out tomorrow and that you can really enjoy it.

I'm not weighing this week as I'm at the hospital tomorrow for the nuclear scan and then Thursday I'll be back for my usual weekly visit but hoping that the high dose of meds I had last week will mean I don't need to spend all day there and that they have the results of the scan, although there's no guarantee that the results will be back in 2 days as the letter says up to 7 days!.

Hopefully once the results of the scan are back they'll have more idea of what is causing the problem! I really need to know how long everything is going to last as I'm going to have to move my Eurotunnel booking as there is absolutely no way I'm going to be able to go on the booked date towards the end of this month! Glad it's in the motorhome and not a fully booked holiday which would have to be cancelled completely.

This is getting a bit of an essay so I'll post my menu plan separately.

Now for my plan for today:

B - stuffed mushroom - large mushroom stuffed with couscous, chopped veggies mixed with cottage cheese. There was too much mixture so had that cold on the side - think it was nicer cold than hot!
L - cheese on toast, pickles
D - LO pork reheated in gravy with mash & veg. Couple of Syns for gravy as I only have what is attached to the meat, don't really do gravy - usually just about a Dessertspoonful!

Breakfast didn't really fill me up so while we were out shopping bought a box of vegetable sushi (5 syns) and very nice it was too!

    HEA - milk - about 100mls
    HEA2 - 30g cheese
    HEB - bread
Syns - sushi 5; gravy 2. Might have a couple of small squares of dark chocolate later @ 1 sun per square

  • How do you do your mash Denise? Tried the lazy mash from pinch of nom but not quite like the real thing! Usually I just do it normally with very little extra butter/milk.

Maman as if crunchies are shrinking! I suppose if I keep thinking they are 9 Syns it does me a favour!

I just roughly mash the potatoes and then add a beaten egg and sort of whisk it quite hard. Makes a really nice creamy mash. Obviously shouldn't ge given to very young children because of the raw egg. Both DH and I love it made this way. I haven't even looked how the PON mash is made as I've been doing it with egg for 9 years now!
