Sorry to hear about the cat beanie. It seems like one thing after another.:(

You're really excelling yourself with the Speed fruit trixie, as you profess not to like it! Well done!:T

Good idea not to push yourself too hard after a bad night. As beanie just posted, exercise isn't essential on SW. I think it has benefits of feeling good and keeping supple but it's the food (and drink:() that really makes the difference IMO.

Off to WI shortly and will post results and menu later.;)

Sorry to hear about your Mums cat beanie it's hard losing a loved one x

Small loss of for me this week -1lb , I'm rather relieved as after last weeks loss I was expecting a sts if not a gain.

Off today and tomorrow then back to work on sat.
Today I've got to get a couple of bits round sainsbob, so will walk there and back and meeting my df for lunch in the cafe there. Not sure what's sw friendly there as never stopped before!

    B 2 boiled eggs,
    L ?
D was doing sw pork burgers and wedges but accidentally left the freezer door a jar last night so smoked haddock and new potato and veg (good job I'm going to shopping as I need new pots now!)

Not sure on hexa and b will see what lunch brings.

Tomorrow we are off to the British Museum to see the Manga exhibition that's on there so lots of walking, again not sure on lunch but there's lots of places to choose from up there so I'll find something. Also got to get off at Temple tube station as ds has been obsessed as to what's there for years I've told him there is no 'temple' actually there but he's determined that there must be something, I'm thinking he'll be sorely disappointed when we exit the station!

  • Oh my, I synned :( Desperately wanted to lose 1lb this week as it means finally hitting my 4 1/2 st. Fell off wagon on Friday but go straight back on & was on plan until last night. Met a friend for dinner & she fancied pizza, I had the 600 cal one as it was the best available, but think I have probably blown my chances, if I maintain will be pleased enough.

On the plus side, got to weigh at first session as I am going to see the Gloria Estafen musical. Would dearly love to go with a spring in my step. Roll on 5:30:o
A smile costs little but creates much :)

Well done on your pound sirens.:T Have a good time at the British Museum. The good thing about London is that there are loads of places to eat. Personally, I go for Pret salads when I'm out but there are heaps of alternatives.

Good luck for tonight GTQ. Who knows, the pizza may not have caught up with you yet.;)

I went to WI and lost 1.5lbs. I'll take that as I'm happy with any loss at all. :) I stayed to group as it's good for me to listen to the reinforcement messages. I've booked a holiday for next week as I know I'm eating out twice but hope that I can see a loss over 2 weeks. I'm a bit concerned about the way my stomach keeps bloating up. It's better than it was but it's like a constant reminder that I'm over target.:(

I think you might have a point about me being used to maintaining sary. I wrote everything down last week and plan to do the same again this week. I always write my menus down but it's the running total of syns that makes the difference.

I'm having beans with my dinner (sary's fault;)) so I'll make up the Speed in other ways. I popped into Asda, mainly for petrol, this morning and they were reducing strawberries and raspberries so I've got plenty of fruit.

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, HEB Weetabix, HEA milk
L: veggie omelette (broccoli, spring onion, mushroom, tomato) with beetroot and ham, raspberries and 0% yogurt
D: sausage (Skinny from Waitrose), mash (potato and carrot), fried onions, baked beans then strawberries and yogurt later
    Syns: sausages 1

Well done SIRENS on the loss.

Maman have you used your Syns on wine this week? Might be better to go on the G&T diet this week!!!!

Well done of the loss, better than me! Had a small gain of 0.5lb but still in target but wrong direction for bottom end which I'm aiming for prior to going on holiday but due to all the hospital appointments I think I'm going to have to change the dates. Will need to speak to the Dr next week as we are due to go on holiday the week after. Almost certain we won't be able to go for probably another month but not sure I want to go to France or Germany at the end of September into October. May have to look to see how late I can leave the booking til (it's for Eurotunnel and the trip has to be completed within 1 year of booking the trip - trouble is I can't remember when I actually booked it).

I won't be going to group next week as at the hospital on both Tuesday for the nuclear scan and blood test and Thursday for the usual finding out the results. Hoping the scan results are also through but not holding my breath as the letter says the result will be within 7 days.

    Today's plan:

B - tasters as group - most was Syn Free but allowing 1 syn as a couple of things had LTL mayo on
L - cheese on toast - didn't fancy any salad with it so just had it on its' own. Will have some fruit & quark shortly
D - HB braised steak - will add extra veg - carrots, peppers & mushrooms. Will have with mash. Not counting syns as it's so low, just the cornflour shared between us

    HEA1 & 2 - milk & cheese
    HEB - bread
    Syns - 1 for tasters

How annoying to have that gain denise. It's only tiny though. Shame about your holiday plans. The hospital appointments do seem to go on and on.:(

I had syns left over this week but those used did go mostly on wine. I'd thought about the G&T diet. Like you said, I think I might need to do that this weekend. I will want wine next Tuesday for my anniversary so need to try to offset some syns for that. :)

I'm suspecting the gain is the amount of water I'm drinking! I had my usual 2 cups of tea before I left this morning but still felt really thirsty (think it's the medication they gave me yesterday!) and drank nearly a litre of water.

I drank another 1/2 litre at group as well as another cup of tea. Since getting home about 1 o'clock I've drunk another 1/2 litre! DH and I went to Tesco's last night and cleared the shelf on their Still Lemon & Lime flavoured water! Today I cleared it again with the last 6 bottles! Just hope I've got enough for the week!!! Our tap water is horrible to drink so if I need more to drink it'll have to be squash in it!

    Afternoon everyone.

Sorry to hear about your Mum's cat Beanie - they really do become one of the family, don't they?

Congrats to all the losers and welcome newbies. Trixy I'm another who doesn't go to group and I've been at target (or thereabouts) for nearly 18 months - it's definitely do-able on your own (and of course, with the help of this thread!)

I've not been very well this week (upset tum and a lurking migraine) so I've just been eating what I fancy for a few days - not a lot but carb heavy. I'm feeling much better today so today's menu looks a little more like SW! No great hopes for weigh in tomorrow.

Off on holiday next week - still can't fasten those shorts so they'll be staying at home!

    Today's menu
    B Bacon sandwich
    L Apple and Alpen Light
D HM spinach and chickpea curry with rice, salad and mint yoghurt- seems an odd thing to have after a tummy upset but I'm craving something with a bit of flavour after eating 'beige' food for nearly a week!
