I've treated myself to a canteloupe melon this week as a change from the honeydew one I had last week. Water melon is probably my least favourite, but have always loved this time of year when the melons are cheap and plentiful.
I bought 3 extra large peaches from a market stall in Newbury on Saturday. When I got them out of the paper bag on Sunday evening they had all got mould developing on the skins, but they aren't ripe (I know because I cut into one and it's hard). I was really not pleased, as I paid £2 for them thinking they'd be a nice treat. Much happier with my Lidl nectarines now, which are always delicious.
Anyway, I've had a slight blip with today's plan as I bought a chocolate trifle for DS4 birthday treat, and did have some. I'm thinking at leasts 10 syns worth!! T'was rather yummy though, and I did have veggies with my dinner, so there's the ying to my yang right there perhaps?!
Percy I hope you feel better soon.
OH got on ok at the nurse. She says his flesh wound is fine, and is very clean and neatly healing already. The stinging in his hip wore off once he was up and about, so thinks he may have been laying on that side in his sleep and it was aggravating the bruising. He got through the working day fine too, so grateful for that, and he's definitely less cranky today, so think he's feeling quite a bit better generally. One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

Glad to hear that your DH doesn't seem to have suffered any long term effects sary but he was sensible to go to the surgery.
It's strange that you don't like Galia melons bubbs. I'll eat most varieties but I do find water melon a bit pointless and tasteless and honeydew isn't that much better. My favourites are things like Galia, Canteloupe and Charentais. I can smell the Galia from Aldi in the kitchen this morning so I must eat it up ASAP.
While I'm still not convinced I've lost much weight I am feeling less bloated today. It's a whole week since that ghastly WI and only now am I starting to feel a bit more normal. I plan to go to WI tomorrow and start looking forward again.
I don't think I'm going to get back to target very soon though as it's our wedding anniversary next week so that'll be at least one meal out. It's strange but I now understand why the consultants ask if you know why you've had a gain. It's about being in control. What I've found strange is that I really can't account for why this has happened. I know I would have gained on holiday but I'd been back almost a month before last week and other than a couple of days in London and one bad meal out (I checked my diary) I'd been more or less on plan.
Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, scrambled eggs, HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks
L: LO ham hash with picklesbaked cod, SW chips, cauli steak, asparagus, broccoli, tomatoes, mushrooms
Syns: HP sauce 10 -
As I've got older it is definitely harder to shift than it was 10 years ago!
I'm another who likes all melons. Water Elon are a bit tasteless but very refreshing.
Back at the hagain today but not here as long as usual, just a 2 hour drip today.
Have just eaten y scotch egg and salad so feeling quite full at the moment. Can't for the life of me remember what I've got cooking in the SC other than it's something spicy!
Only another hour or so and I can go home and relax.

Yours might have been water retention from the hot weather bubbs or because your routine has changed a bit since you've been off work. I've yet to come up with a plausible excuse for myself.:o
Plumber's gone home for the day. All the most dusty work is done. Now I can get cracking on the dinner.0 -
Nice to be home much earlier today. Was home by about 4pm. Just have to cook some rice to go with the curry later. It smelt really good when we walked in the door! Looking forward to it later.
We seem to be having quite a spicy week this week!
Looking at my menu again I realised it's actually a Green day so don't actually need to Syn my bread at lunchtime:D, so only 1 syn for the spread.
After the medication I had today I've now got to drink at least 2 litres of water in addition to any tea or coffee I drink. Looks like I'll be drinking even less tea and coffee than I am at the moment! Only have 2 cups of tea and 2 small cups of coffee a day, the rest of it is lemon & ginger tea which doesn't count! The reason being I need to get rid of as much water as possible after the drip today!
