Maman makes no difference how long between your WIs as long as you weigh one day in week 1 and one day in week 2. In some ways after a holiday it's good to go on say a Monday and then the following week on either Friday or Saturday (depending on when groups are on that you can get too so you actually get nearly 2 weeks between WIs:D). Not done that myself as there are no groups locally at end of the week. The longest gap I can get is Monday evening to Thursday evening unless I travel about 15 miles to a group in the next town. So no good to me as I prefer weighing in the morning as definitely weigh less!

Lovely day today. Have done a couple of loads of washing. Got one load in already and other load shouldn't be too much longer!

    Afternoon all,

Thanks for the good wishes re. OH. He's feeling very sore today, but has returned to work (as have I). He's going to see the nurse at local GP's to get his dressing re-done, and I've told him to ask about the pain he's experiencing in his hip, which he said woke him up last night, and was stinging, which is a funny sensation to experience after a thud I think. He has extensive bruising from hip to groin coming through, so he clearly took a proper whack as he hit the tarmac.

Yesterday was youngest DS#4's birthday, but we didn't have cake, and he wanted to have a pizza for tea, which I'd got in the freezer, so we were saved from any other naughties. OH says he's gained 3lb over the long weekend, and I seem to have gained 1.5lb, but was 0.5lb lighter again today, so hoping the extra lb will be off by the end of the week when I'll do my own WI.

    Meal plan yesterday:
    B - Banana & 0% yogurt
L - salad leaves, carrot, tomatoes, cucumber, indian spiced chicken fillet. dressing (1.5); strawberries, nectarine & mango with 0% yogurt
D - wholewheat pasta with tomato sauce, onions, garlic, mushrooms, chicken breast & spinach. Parmesan HEA1
    HEA2 - milk in tea/coffee
    no HEB

    Meal plan today:
    B - banana & 0% skyr (1)
L - mixed leaves, carrot, cucumber, peppers, indian chicken, Chinese spiced chicken thigh (a bit of fusion chicken flavours there!) dressing (1); 0% greek yog. with mango & strawberries.
    D - Sainsb. skinny sausages x 3 (1.5), mash with milk & pepper, beans, ketchup (2)
    HEA - milk in tea/coffee
    HEB - none planned

No speed in my dinner - I might swap beans for some mixed veg, but will depend upon how much I really fancy the beans as it's one of my favourite dinners. I can always have some strawberries later on to add some into the evening.

Sirens, glad to hear you have been able to go back to the role you preferred. I agree that it makes no sense to change role with more hours worked unless you benefit in some way either career/money. I've taken on a role in the past few months that has meant I've had to learn a LOT in a very short space of time. I've worked extra hours unpaid, however, this has benefitted me from a learning point of view, thus enhancing my chances to progress, and as it turns out, what was meant to be a temporary position to fill-in, has now become permanent and I've had 2 pay rises along the way, as well as being given a bonus payment this month. I'm blinking knackered though!! :rotfl:

Bubbs - you can do this!! I'd do exactly what you are and weighing in a bit later. Give yourself the wiggle room needed and you're focussed enough to get this done.:)

Thinking of ChrisV and Sue. I hope you're both coping as best you can, and being supported. Just because your aren't posting doesn't mean you aren't in our thoughts xx p.s. we can do without a chart for as long as need be.
One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

LordP so sorry to hear you're still not feeling well. Just do the best you can. Hope you feel better soon.

Sary glad DH is able to go back to work even if he is very bruised and sore. Absolutely agree with you that being woken up with the hip pain stinging doesn't sound right at all. Hopefully it is just the bruising.

Not had the Broghies before. Don't think I'll bother with them again but will eat the packet but will just have to be me as DH absolutely doesn't like them and only had a couple of small pieces he broke off and then gave me the rest. So I actually only had just over one rather than the 2 I'd planned. Still going to count it as 2 Syns though as it was definitely more than half!

I'd never heard of broghies until MrsRyan mentioned them some time back. Perhaps I'll give them a miss.

Not heard of MrsR or lush or kathrynha or Topgirl for a while. if you should lurk and come back when you're ready.:)

Plumber is gone for the day. Have prepped the hash for tonight's dinner. I like to make it on the hob then put it in an ovenproof dish and reheat with some tomatoes and cheese (HEA2) on top.

Thanks for the info on WI, I hadn't realised it could be any day of the week. I'd assumed 7 days. We have several classes a day around here Monday though to Saturday. I'll think about that when I'm next close to target. Whenever that is.:(

Glad you can go back to your old job Sirens.

Sary hope OH gets himself checked over at Drs, scary!

Maman good luck at next WI, makes you wonder if the diff scales had something to do with it.

Lordp sounds like you’re eating all the right things, well done even tho you are not feeling well.

Sending (((hugs))) to those in need of them, thinking of chrisv and sue in particular.

Pleased to report a 1.5lb loss after WI today. Celebrated with a mini magnum . Had to nominate for woman of the year at group today and then vote next week I assume. Tasters next week too, what to bring this time? I have my street BBQ on Sunday. Second year of me being in charge of the food :rotfl:, there will be subtle changes this year ;). Fingers crossed the weather behaves; last year we had to change the date at short notice as downpours were forecast.

    Poundsinbucks x :D
    🥳🥳 SW -6st 3.5lbs 🥳🥳

That's kind of what I had! It was a soupy lentil dahl! There was some left over but not enough for a meal so I cooked up some mince I had in the fridge and didn't know what to do with and stirred that into the lentil mix and now in the freezer ready for another meal:money:.

Have spent the afternoon prepping and cooking. Have prepped a chana masala for dinner tomorrow night which I'll leave on low in the SC while I'm at the hospital. Have also made & cooked some falafel for tasters on Thursday (been requested by a few of the members!) Doesn't seem to matter how many I make there's never any left to bring home so can't be too bad! Have had a taste of one and they actually seem a bit softer this time and not too spicy (we have some real lightweights on spice at my group). Everything is prepped for the corned beef hash for tonight so a fairly quick meal tonight.

Just have to make some overnight oats for breakfast tomorrow to have before we go to the hospital, have made scotch eggs and need to prepare a salad. Will also make a cheese sandwich so HEA + 7. I need plenty of food as I end up getting bored and don't want to end up getting DH to buy me chocolate!

Do you find the low fat diet leaves you unsatiated? Always hungry?

Do you find that you loose a few pounds then after the diet you pile it all back on and some more?

Did you know that the low fat diet was kicked off by a man called Ancel Keys?

Did you know that it has since been prooven that this man man fiddled the data and that there is absolutely no evidence whatsoever that fat makes you fat?
