Maman the stock from a pot roast is stew like. You can use it as a gravy by using some cornflour and a bit of gravy browning.

We did enjoy the meal. I added cornflour and Marmite to thicken and colour the gravy and it was fine. :)

Glad your DH is fine sary , sounds like it could have been much worse. I've never been a comfort eater. Comfort drinking is more my thing. :o

 More lurking and liking LordP :D
  • Ok, the tum is going, what do I do about the spare tyre?:o

    Ditto!

GTQ - sorry no idea. Even being at target for 7 years I still have a bit of a spare tyre and a bit of a tummy. They just don't seem to want to go, so guess will have to just give up on the idea of getting rid of them!

Horrible day here today, it's really grey and miserable!

Stuck to plan yesterday and ended on 4.5 Syns so 10.5 pulled back. Have worked out I've got 8 syns a day for Monday to Wednesday so not too bad.

    Today's plan:

B - boiled eggs; 1 slice of bread and scrape of spread 0.5 HEB + 1
    L - beans & tomatoes on toast 0.5 HEB
D - jerk chicken thighs, rice & peas (from this month's magazine) 2

HEA - milk - 100ml; so may have some grated cheese on top the beans
    HEB - bread
    Syns - spread 1; coconut milk 2

I know I'm short on Speed but will snack on fruit during the day. Shopping day tomorrow so will get some more salad stuff

Oh sary, sorry to read your post but glad nothing is broken.

Weighed in on Friday, was only half a pound lighter. Dread to think what I am today as I let myself go at the weekend!

    Back to it this week.

When I'm at target my tum is usually flat. It's the bloated tum that's really getting to me at the moment. Every morning I hope it will have disappeared but not today. :(

I can't remember the exact figure (although it's written down) but I have more than enough syns to last me for the next 3 days. I generally eat fairly low syn during the week. I have a plan for today so I'll post it and then update if anything changes.

B: NAS grapefruit, HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks, fried egg, baked beans
L: cold meat, beetroot, fried LO veg
D: SW Bolognese and tagliatelle, HEA2 Parmesan
    Syns: None

Decide not to go out today then Maman. You're going to put up with the dust while your bathroom is done.

I'm glad that we were away on holiday when our builder done ours - it was virtually done when we got home and there certainly wasn't any dust on return. He just had to finish off the grouting on the floor tiles.

So far, so good. DH went out briefly on his own and is now locked away in his study (that sounds pretentious but it's where the computer and millions of books are ;)). I'm getting on with decluttering and soon to have my planned lunch. I'm starving as we were up earlier than usual to have showers while we still could. :D

It's good to have time on your own! Hope the bathroom doesn't take too long. Is it a complete new bathroom?

Yes, it's years since we did any more than a lick of paint. We're having all the tiles removed and redone (floor to ceiling), all new bathroom suite, cupboards and everything else.

    Just stopped for lunch.
