That's a good loss Beanie. No need to be disappointed with that. I'm over the moon when I lose that much in a week!

Well done beanie and trixie.:T It's always good to see a loss, any loss.:D

What's the problem with the visiting English people beanie? Do they eat strange food? I'm sure they'll eat whatever you put in front of them.:D

I've been looking back through my book and something similar to this happened 2 years ago. I gained 7 lbs after my holiday then (I'd forgotten all about it) and it took months to get back to target.:( So I got over the trauma before and I can do it again. I'll just keep plodding!!:D

The group I was at yesterday was a bit thin on the ground for Image Therapy because many of the younger people did weigh and go because of school holidays. Some of them are 'older' ladies who treat it very much as a social gathering. To be fair, most have got to target or close but now they're just coasting. The consultant said that she sometimes thought she cared about their lack of progress more than they did and felt bad taking their money. I think she was trying tough love and forcing them to either get on with it or call target (higher than their original one). I think this was on the back of me being very obviously determined to get back to my target weight. I hadn't even considered settling for a larger figure (pun intended!:D).

I could manage today's menu with what I've got in but I'll be going out to escape. We have a plumber and plasterer here today.:( Lunch might change as I may have something out.;)

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, strawberries, raspberries, 0% yogurt, HEA mil for drinks
L: chicken, fried mash, tomatoes, mushrooms, pickles
D: chilli with something (rice? chips?), broccoli and cottage cheese
    Syns: tbc

We have quite a few younger people in our group and there are always several little ones at group, they still stay even though it's school holidays. The kids are usually pretty good! For some reason all the little girls this week came dress up - it looked they must have talked about it last week - it looked like they were going to a fancy dress party, LOL!

We have a few older ladies who seem not to be bothering much about losing the weight. We have one lady, probably only in her 40s, who got to target and then putting it all back on but she still comes every week. She's always got some excuse or other why she hasn't lost this week! Our consultant as even asked her outright if she's serious about getting down to target and of course she always say yes.

Our consultant has already told 2 or 3 people that she thinks they are wasting their money and given them an ultimatum that if they don't lose something over the next month then she will ask them to leave! Only one of them actually started losing again and still comes regularly and says it was the kick up the bum that she needed.

I'm sure you'll pick sensibly Maman if you eat out. You always seem to try anyway. Don't blame you wanting to escape for the day.

    My plan for today:

B - stuffed mushroom - stuffed with couscous, chopped mushroom stalks & chopped veggies; the LO couscous; a little of remoulade (0.5); a little aubergine dip which needed using up (0.5)
L - HM lentil & veg soup - using up some more veg from the freezer; 1 slice WM bread (0.5 HEB)
D - chicken tikka masala (the tikka is already made from the freezer), rice
Will have some fruit & quark + hifi bar for pudding (0.5 HEB)

    HEA - milk
    HEB - 1 slice bread/1 hifi bar

Syns - no idea (not fancying alcohol at the moment! - think it's something to do with the medication they gave me on Wednesday!). Might have to go out and buy some chocolate to have for Syns this week!

  • I did something I don't usually do when I got on the scales last night, swore:o . I knew that my best case scenario was to maintain, didn't expect a worst case one, + 2 1/2 was gobsmacked, genuinely did not see that coming as I had been 100% on plan after falling off the wagon on Friday, until I had the best option pizza on Wednesday night.

I have been upping my fluids a lot, so hoping that was some of the damage. Going to be an :A this week and hope that I get rid of the gain and some. Was so upset. To make matters worse, when my bag was searched at the theatre, I was told I couldn't take in food to eat, only had a chicken roll, which was on plan, so had to wait until I got home to eat my chicken roll dinner:mad: It was unbelievable there, no liquids allowed in either, the bottle either had to be drunk or emptied into a bin before entering and could be filled from a tap inside. Security actually missed my bottle, so at least that wasn't wasted either!

    Show was very good though:D

GTQ it's horrible when you get an unexpected gain. I suspect it was partly because of the additional water. I think that's where my small gain probably came from yesterday - I'd drunk over a litre of water before group as well as a couple of cups of tea! Might also be because I've had to stop taking my thyroid tablets before my scan next week.

Well done LordP on your loss. I'm always very happy when I have 1.5lb loss! It doesn't happen very often for me.
