  • Hello everyone,

MH been bad again and had a really bad night on Monday which resulted in family coming over and helping me. I won't go into too much detail will post a bit more on my diary but the end result was deleted all social media and just keeping WhatApp and texting for family and close friends.

Yesterday was first NSD of the month :T:T

Went through the fridge last night and got rid of loads of OOD bits, felt terrible because some of it was lovely meat but drew a line under it. Got out the freezer peppered steaks for tea tonight. Freezer is FULL of YS meat so need to do yet another inventory and work my way through that before even thinking of topping up the freezer again.

Had some fun in the garden with DS yesterday, bought us a cheapo water pistol each (99p) last week and had a water fight. He couldn't quite figure out how to use his, but thought it was hilarious running around the garden in his nappy while I was getting him. Made me think this is all I want out of life, fun with DS and him to be happy :D

Been hard for me to think of others and help others lately but have offered a friend help with childcare and a someone to talk to as she has been low. Me and mum fell out and although it wasn't 100% my fault (I would say 50/50) I was still the bigger person an apologized.

My sons dad give me £50 to spend on "me" I felt terrible accepting it and not sure if I should even use it. He said he wanted me to feel good about myself so I should get my nails, hair or lashes done but I am not sure :/

    Plans for the week:
    Wed - Working
Thur - Chatterbox group with DS and will probably pop to mums so she can watch DS while I go to therapy
Fri - Looking after friends little ones while she goes to hosp app.
    Sat - Probably housework day
Sun - Will see if my bro is free to chill with the little ones

    To do list:
    Tax credits!!
    Housing Benefit
    [STRIKE]Spreadsheets[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Look at budgets[/STRIKE]
    Check renewal for breakdown cover
    [STRIKE]Check MOT date (sure it's Aug)[/STRIKE]
Make meal plan using bits in fridge/freezer
I'm sure I will be adding a lot more!

    C xx

  • Afternoon everyone

chocolatelover - hope you're ok. I find social media is not good for MH and deleted the Fb app from my phone last year & don't regret it at all

f0xholes - glad your DSs are well ;)

Been mega busy few days as I went back to work on Monday - playing catch up but nice to see some of my colleagues . Also left early as DDs and i went to the theatre and had a fabulous time!

Yesterday was a full on day as moved DD2 out of uni halls and into her new room in the student house - lots of packing up and then unpacking with tons of cleaning in between. Got home at 8.30pm hungry and sweaty and aching!

I've been keeping out the sun and if I have to go out, i'm smothered in factor 50.

Achieved zero NSDs so far but hoping for improved performance for the latter half of the month - well, I can't do any worse can I??!

Gratitudes - lovely fun night at the theatre with DDs; DD2 has a lovely room in her student house; DD2 recovering from her op; been on a half day course for FT job which was really helpful.

    bye for now

apple - sorry to hear about your mum.

    Welcome Esmerelda.

Had an order delivered today, I bought an all metal tin with two layers and a small tin which sits inside, this is to use when I go out walking to take my lunch. Also got silk floss in a glass and metal container, silk isn't vegan but this one is made from the cocoon after the worm has hatched rather than boiling the worm alive.

Bought two bars of soap from my local health food shop, they are made by the Friendly Soap Company which is just 20 minutes away, one is a travel bar to take away rather than liquids, hopefully we will be replacing several products which normally come in plastic bottles with these bars. Also had my Ecover laundry detergent refilled whilst I was there.

Thank you for the wishes for my mum. They called the paramedics out for her last night . Her back was hurting while I was there, and I put it down to a pulled muscle from when she did whatever she did to her chin. Because of the dementia, we'll never know what it was! Anyhow, during the night she was yelping with the pain. But she is now on painkillers (just paracetamol + ibu togethrr), and when I saw her this morning, she talked about her back pain as 'old person aches and pains'. Phew.

Today I am very grateful for the NHS, for the home not sending her to hospital (how awful would that be for someone with dementia, eh?), for getting her hair washed and cut this morning, for a good journey back home, for a chat with big sis, for getting a workout done, for the paddling pool to sit in afterwards, for finding a big bunny in a ch shop with clothes sewn on that I can use for ideas.

Kerry woman - is selling your place on hold umtil you know the outcome of your tests? Hugs.

apple muncher - Sending you hugs and your Mum.
I know what the medical issue is and being referred to the gynaeoncology consultant who deals with the issue to discuss possible treatment. Am not going to be to concerned about 2nd blood test. Will look at plans to move after appointments and treatment.

    Hi all :j

A Adventure Out and about today, collected an item bought on FB. Ended up being a bit of an adventure as they weren't expecting me till Thursday - thankfully had the messages to show them so was able to collect. Then drove into town, it was so busy unable to get in the car park so DH dropped me & he went in search of a space & I took an item back. Then unfortunately for him a bird decided to drop something on his head, shirt & phone whilst he was texting me.... You can bet he wasn't amused & didn't consider it lucky either. And we were going to lunch out..we did after he got (fairly) cleaned up.:rotfl:

G Get creative in the kitchen Not creative today.

N NSDs Will go for low target as we are on holiday as well as DD this week & another week when she goes away later in the month. NSDs still 3/12

T Take care in the sun No sun today

L Live on what is left
    Will do.

    E Exercise: Walking today.

J July food days abound , French Fries (13th), Hot Dogs and Peach Ice Cream (17th - No not together), Caviar (18th) Daiquiris (19th). My favourites are Fresh Spinach Day (16th) Vanilla Ice Cream (23rd). Other Ice cream days are available. Use these as a jumping off point to add some summer fun to your meal plan. Will pick a couple of these.

O (H2)O Water fun. Dogs have made holes in their pool, not sure how to get them in otherwise as they are so large. May have an old plastic one somewhere lurking in the shrubbery. Still to locate. Only water is the amount drunk by me. Now have food diary so water can be logged. Not started yet, will start tomorrow. Started with upping water & whilst I didn't drink all that I am supposed to, I did much better. keeping up with the water but not as much as I should do. Dug out dogs pool (half a clam shell type) from shrubbery & cleaned it out, then refilled with water. 2 dogs ignored it, the other had a drink out of it..

    G Geeks May struggle here.

T Think of those who are ill Both elderly uncles are now suffering from terminal illnesses. Do think of them often. Had email from elderly relative, seems OK. Friend came who has been ill, spent 4.5 hours here so must have enjoyed himself..Thank you email from friend. Asked him back.

H Help those in need. Will do my best.

R Relax. Have lots of books & projects to do so need to make a time each do to actually DO them. Did a bit of knitting today but need to get organised with projects now. Knitted in car whilst DH had a meeting but forgot book. More TV knitting tonight. Took myself off in the midst of the chaos (DD back from hols) & sat in the quiet finishing some projects. DH has downloaded all the podcasts for my project that I will do on holiday. Mostly be on my own so need something complex to concentrate on. TV knitting tonight.

O Our Bodies Our Selves: Will deffo be doing this & am starting this week with a pamper day. Pampered self by putting on make up etc. Only pampering was a shower & putting some make up on. Self care tomorrow.

U Useless On this, will take some to CS tomorrow. Am still sorting & binning. Got rid of some bags of rubbish for collection tomorrow. CS tomorrow, have books to go & some rags if I can smuggle them past the head honcho. Not done

G Get out and about: Out today, see above. Will be out to dentists tomorrow but not exactly out & about.

H Half Year Review: Good idea & will work on this. Some progress but much more to do. less than 3 weeks till hols.

J Just a couple DH already looks like a combo of these two.

U yUo Ate out today but was planned.

    L Look at each purchase:
Purchase of secondhand item which was a third of the price of new.

Y You should check in daily Here I am, hello folks!
