Does anyone know about how to get a reduced price Sky+ box from Sky, what to say or a particular number to call?
Thanks

Go directly to the cancellations team say you want to cancel. When they ask why, explain the reason. They will reduce the price for you , and if they dont just cancel anyway.... you have a month before they take off your service and in that time believe me, they WILL call you back with a better offer0 -

The cancellations dept don't call anyone back after they have put in notice for cancellation. This may not work anyway as in my previous posts advisors only need to save a certian % of customers who wish to cancel & after that it doesn't matter to them as they have got their save%, so they may now try & call your bluff & cancel your account with 30 days notice.
You may get a call or a letter from marketing asking you to come back with an offer but you may not.
How long have you had your sky account?
The new number for customer service is 08442 41 41 41.You can't be lost if you don't know where you're going.0 -
Got sent an email saying from January 1, all new Sky sign-ups will be entitled to free Sky talk freetime (evening and weekend calls), free Sky broadband 'Max' for 3 months (unlimited and up to 16mb download speed) plus Sky talk line rental for 3 months.
Also, deals from Sky for January:
Sky Digibox FREE - £30 installation
Sky+ Digibox £99 - FREE installation (£30 installation for existing customers)
Sky+HD Digibox £99 - £30 installation (£60 installation for existing customers)0 -
I'm not after a Sky deal - just a sky plus box that works! Only got Sky+ in September, box packed up couple of weeks ago, engineer replaced with a diff box on xmas eve but that won't record or anything! I give up!A home is not a home ..... without a dog0

Was it bought directly from them? Get back on to them. Ensure you don't get a refurbished box when they come back out as well.0

Been with Sky for 8 years, upgraded to Sky+ in 2005 and have one of the first generation Sky+ boxes. Pay £47 a month and hubby likes the box office Wrestling as well and usually has those too.
The box we have is generally OK but has started interrupting recordings and doesn't have the Anytime TV facility. The wire that connects the box to the telephone no longer works either but we can still get sky and record things, it'll just interrupt the recording!
I rang Sky last week who said min £65 call out for an engineer plus cost of repair  or £199 plus £60 installation for a new Sky+ box.
I wasn't particularly happy with either suggestion so I asked if they could do anything with the price on a new box and all they could do was cut installation to £30.
I said I was going to cancel my subscription and I was told that would be fine but I'd have to call another number and I kept getting cut off when I called.
Would really just like a newer Sky+ box so we can record properly, I personally wouldn't mind cancelling but DH is addicted to Sky and almost cried when I said I would cancel!
Does anyone know about how to get a reduced price Sky+ box from Sky, what to say or a particular number to call?
Thanks

so you can get a hd box for the same price as a sky+ box
funny how they quote double the installation fee for existing customers, they could post you the box and you could do it yourself in 5 minutes, if you already have a sky+ box, DaveTake every day as it comes!!0 -
