I've been on the full package for just over a year, I was offered a Sky+ box for £30 as I am seriously looking at scrapping it to save £48 a month, Sky+ would give me far more useage out of it but I don't know if this is a good deal or not, I was told if I was was with them longer I may have got it free or if I was a new customer I would have to pay £60.
What should I do?~ What's for you, won't go past you! ~0 -

unreal what different offers people have had isnt it?... I was told the full price, then just £60 for installation... then the £30, asked (nicely) if they could do better but was told no, £30 was it... oh well, happy enough.. of course free would have been great0 -

I'm using an old sky box and old sky card to watch the free channels only - i.e. no subscription, no costs.
Can I ring them up and try to get a Sky+
If you really want it you can get a friend or relative to recommend you, you get a free box for £30 install they get £50 M&S vouchers, but you will have to subscribe at least to the minimum package currently £16 going up to £17 1st Sept0 -
After being unhappy for months with our old sky box - its about 8 years old and really terrible. Loads of interference even on BBC I and no signal on about a third of the channels. So just phoned sky (the 01506 number) and said I wanted to cancel and was offered a free sky plus box and free installation.
It was almost tooooo easy - quite an anti climax really!!
No seriously I am very pleased.
Took the advice on this forum - phoned on a Wednesday and near the end of the month.0 -
I cancelled my sky a month ago
received a flyer through the mail offering free sky+ and installation if I re-subscribed to them
small print states offer only for former customers and recipient of the flyer only
but for those of you thinking about going back, it's worth a phone call !0
