  • I rang and cancelled last month( we already have sky+ and multi room) no offers or anything so we are now without all sky and the kids are missing it! but I am holding out for a deal they might ring up and offer us something, if not we are saving £48.00 a month and it goes up in price in September.
  • Thanks for everyones bits and bobs on here regarding cancelling sky and getting sky+ free. IT WORKED!!!! :j

Originally called Friday and was offered it for free but that then changed to being £49  as I am not a long time customer (18 months) still thought OK, then was told would have to pay £60 install fee as well (£109  ) system will not now allow me to have at £49 but the cheeky guy said I can pay by card and will then credit back to me.......no not to my card but to my Sky account and I would have it Free.....Hum....No I am paying for it in advance so not free. Declined the offer and said leave it for now then, will review and call back

Looked more into bits and bobs here and instead of calling sky on the 0870 number called the 01506421884 that has been on here and on the www.saynoto0870.com. and also remember to call Tuesday or Wednesday as you will have better chance here. Called the 01506 number and spoke to a nice women and explained i wanted to cancel and can I go to cancelation. She kindly said no problems and put me on hold and kept coming back to me to keep me updated on when I would speak with someone (good customer care and she even remembered my name! :T ) Finally got through and spoke to a great guy called Morris and explained that I wanted to cancel as working hours changed, missed programes blah blah. he said have you heard of sky plus said yes but upgrade on site was £135 - He said he can do it cheaper and after a few minutes came back with if we give it Free (Sky +) and free install woudl you stay...hum.....said well if it is free then fine. So agreed to it - instal on 26th August between 8am and 1pm - just had to agree to 12 months

Well saved upgrade costs today and shows if you follow what people say and do here and blag it well you can get it free - lets see this time next year if I can balg free HD

Big thanks to everyone how has put the details on here for us people to get it free - Great site and thanks to everyone!!!:T

    hi folks,

i have been give the opurtunity to returrn to sky+ with a free box and free instalation but i have a question below which i hope someone can help me with.

if i do join the offer i understand it is a new 12 month contract i will be signing up to and i wante dto know if i can sell the box i can change the box they give me to a different box or must i keep the same box with the same viewing card for 12 months?

is it possible to use the same viewing card on a different box after 4 montht and can i sell the box on ebay before the end of the 12 month contract as long as i have a subscription with sky+ for 12 months?

or must i keep the same free box for 12 months with the same viewing card.

    thanks for any help

Does anybody know if you already are with sky the cost will still go up in Sep or is it for new customers??
My other half phoned up to cancel ours and wasn't offered anything so its due to be cancelled on 21st, however we are moving house on 29th Aug so will want it there.
Is it too late to call them nack and try and blag a deal for when we move ie before price increase?? If so hows it best to go about it??
We didn't get anywhere last time we tried!!
  • Just called Sky, after approx 45 mins on the phone and speaking to 3 different people in 3 different depts we managed to get sky+ with a free box and free installation!
We are super pleased - thanks so much for everyones advise on here! :j

the cards are now registered to the box so you cannot use them in another box (we had sports took it to my mums to watch football and it wouldnt work) . as far as we were told from sky if you have sky+ then its a new contract and break it and you pay in full for all the costs. hope this helps.
by the way i have been with sky 11 years and they will not give us a free box. it appears the longer you have been with them the more they wont budge.
