Update
Just phoned 0808 1014438 and went through to the cancellation team and said i was looking to cancel due to working shifts and not watching the programmes i want and the woman gave me it for £490 -
Well done!!! £49 is a great saving. Did they say why you couldn't have it free?0

Im seriously thinking about joining sky and im wondering can you go through quidco (£135 cashback for new customers to sky) and also get the refferal where both parties get the sky+ box + free installation.
If you can only choose one of these offer i think i would choose the quidco offer as £130 cashback divided by the 12 months works out at £10.83 a month which would be classed as a nice deduction off my monthly bill.
What do you people suggest please??
Also just how good is this sky+ box?? Do you sky customers use it much??0 -
Very pleased, got it for free:)
Thanks to everyone for the advice:)Current competitions won in 2009- 00 -

Me too, got it for free and getting old box put upstairs for £10 a month on top of my £21.00 package, he mentioned something about having an 8 day cool off period where you can cancel and you get to keep the box?! Does anyone know what this box will do if cancelled, bit confused

I think he was talking about just cancelling the sky+ and going back to normal sky, i cant see you being able to do anything with it either, think it would have freeview, thats about it, just funny that he mentioned it

I joined Sky about 3 months ago. I have just Sky TV. Variety and Sports mix. I am thinking about Sky + but couldn't afford it. So I am going to ring that number and give it a go.
Do Virgin have their own Sky + version, as it were? Sorry if thats a silly question. Just so I have some more ammunition, if needed.
