A friends contract that ends in Jan & they rang her & offered £49+£30 installation a few days after she asked about cancelling. Hold your nerve!0

I just rang sky to ask when my sub ends as I want to cancel and they said march, she said do you want me to tranfer you to cancellations and I said yes. He said you want to cancel and I said yes but my sub ends in march so he said ring up 30 days before sub ends:rolleyes: No offer of sky+ for £49 or free:mad:
Just ring again, chances are you'll get someone more generous! (think the guy my OH spoke to was called Graham)
Dont mention your existing contract, my OH didnt say anything other than she wants to cancel because she has a new job and cant get to watch the programs she is paying for and would be happy enough with our freeview box (we dont live in a Virgin media area, if you do you could tell them Virgin is more tempting)Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently!0 -
Just got free Sky+ by asking to cancel. Did say that I'd like Sky+ though if it was free. At first spoke to India call centre but got put through to UK cancellations.0

Is there any additional monthly fee for Sky+ compared to "normal" Sky? We've already got a twin LNB with the two feeds wired into the lounge, so I shouldn't need an installation visit. If I can get just the Sky+ box on its own for 49 quid (or even for free), and as long as there's no increase in the monthly sub. then I will definitely go for it!!!
Anyone??

Has anyone that has got SKY+ for £49 actually just SKY+ and not multiroom and broadband etc... or did you have to take multiroom as I only want the SKY+ box but they said £179.99 to me the other night...lol
Will phone back tonight and see what happens0 -
Hi slowen, We rang last night and as I said in my earlier post we got just the sky plus free, we are on the basic package, no movies or sports, no multiroom and no phone and internet as we can't get it in our area,
Just stand your ground and tell them as we did that we know of exisiting customers who have had it free in the last 24 hours.
Let us know how you get on.

About to call, hope that they dont call my bluff and actually cancel it
Also how much extra will this add to my monthly bill?

he following is copied and pasted from the quidco site can someone please explain how this would work as im not a member of quidco or sky and thinking about joining quidco and i really want sky

It's not costing us any extra per month. We are on the £21 contract. Do not have to take out another 12 months, but if you do cancel your subscription within the next 12 months you have to repay them £10 for each month that you have had it???
Hope this makes sense!!
