I rang up this morning and was offered Sky+ for £49 plus free installation. They also offered me £5 off my multiroom subscription for 6 months. I maybes could have haggled them down to getting it for free, but in the end decided to take their offer. Either way, its still a lot cheaper than buying it through their website. The call lasted around 40 mins in total.0

We have been trying to get Sky sorted in our new flat, we had got a good deal to move existing sky into new flat, sky+, free installation, free box, free broadband with wireless router and calls for around £38, but then we have been told we need a BT line for the broadband as the sky line wont do it. But because its a new flat the BT line isnt hooked up and would cost us another £125 to get it connected which just seems extortionate.0

How can I get sky plus installed for free when I'm currently on freesat?
I can't ring up to say I want to cancel as I already have done about 18 months ago. I've had about 3 calls from them in that time but the offers they gave me were absolute rubbish like 10% off my bill for the first 3 months etc. after it was clear they werent going to offer skyplus I did say to them that a friend had it installed free but they said they didn't have that offer on to give me
They might not call again for months so any ideas how I could go about getting it?Thanx

They offered it for £49 even though you were under contract? How long left at the time?
And with your new deal are you tied to a new 12 month contract?0 -
When they give you a new box they are giving you a new contract - it is always 12 months and they say it is because this is how long the warranty is for on the box.
I tried to get it last week and they refused to give me the free installation and wanted £60 to run one wire - at which point I told them to forget it!!0 -

Update from previous message.....
After Sky totally messed up my viewing card following free installation, I wrote and also emailed them my written request to terminate the contract under the cooling off period. They removed my old sky equipment when they put Sky+ in, so I also requested this be put back in, given that it was their mess up.
They emailed me a de-installation date which gave me 48 hours notice, so I emailed back declining the appointment and also the fact they had not confirmed how they would replace the original gear.
They rang me and said I could keep the Sky+ box and dish and then offered me the full package for free for 3 months, with no obligation to take any contract after that...
A working viewing card arrived within 16 hours by special delivery and I am now up and running and all freeeeeeee....0 -
I was told i wasnt taking a new contract out and i could cancel after 1 month or change my subscription mix to a lower one (on the full 1 £45 mthly) so i got sky+ including installation for £49.0
