Sky plus £49 for existing customers

I sent a polite but firm email explaining that being a customer for 10 years i expected to be offered a sky+ free of charge.
I also added that i may cancel and move to virgin media if i wasnt satisfied with the reply.
Next day i got a phone call offering me free sky+ installed and a £5 reduction in my monthly fees.

Getting it installed on 2nd July

anyone tell me what cards they accept before i phone up please. i've only got a solo debit card and dont want to cancel but do want sky+ cheap or free. thanks

i have foned sky 3 times threatening to leave and each time has got me nowhere,i might try a 4th 2morrow for the last time.help sumone.

My free sky+ was installed on friday and i love it.
My dad who is on the full package (i only pay £21 a month) wanted sky+ but he is useless on the phone and i have the neck of a giraffe, so i rang up for him on Sunday, this time no problems, just rang the cancellations department, said he thinking of cancelling as he works shifts, 2 mins later told me they had a deal on at the moment and as a long standing customer he could have it installed for free as long as he extends his contract for 12 months. Job done it is being installed on Thursday.
Thats me, my best friend, my brother and my dad all got it for free in the past week, keep trying guys.
I had the most hassle out of all of us, see my previous post further up the page but got there in the end.
The lovely guy who installed mine said that they give in to everyone, the words that they hate most are cancellation and Virgin.

after haggling got my sky+ installed yesterday...free of course...now what do i do with original sky receiver??:T

the socket in the back of my sky plus box has been broken by moving the box and setting it back up again after decorating. this is the socket which allows you to watch the same channel in another room with a receiver in the loft. the box is working fine in the lounge however the picture is rubbish in the bedroom and kitchen. sky want £65 to come out and either repair or give me a reconditioned box. anybody any good ideas ??

I've just called Sky,told them i'm an existing customer on top package and how much is Sky +.Did not even need to haggle got told i could have it for free including installation.
