I want Sky HD for free..... why pay more for what should be a basic service?
Pay to upgrade a box - fine (within reason) - but no way an additional subscription !
Streaming HD on cable Internet will kill the charge some time - just not quite yet (come on Virgin - get cable to Thame!)
Same with Multiroom - cheek to charge. Anyway - when we get a decent Terrestrial HD service I'm kicking SKY - might do so beforehand and go freesat.0 -
I know this question is off topic, and please point me to the right place... I have just had the Sky+ installed in my office and now i'm planning to call a guy over tomorrow afternoon to put in a coax cable from my box upstairs to the TV downstairs so that when i'm at work my mum can watch sky. When I am watching my own programs in the evening I want her to be able to still watch terestrial tv (its an old fashioned CRT TV). Is there a cable/switch I can get to do this?0

I don't think you'll need to unplug it, the passthrough will send the aerial and Sky signal through the coax to the second TV. The Sky channel will need to be tuned into a UHF channel on the second TV so it will display whatever Sky is showing. The other channels, BBC, ITV etc are on a different frequency.0

Hmm I see only trouble is on the main TV they have plugged the Sky box into the ariel port on the TV so you arent getting terestrial on itHelp I dont know what to do
I just rang Sky about Multi room and they wanted £79.99 to come and install a Sky box plus the £10 per month0 -
I think the Sky box has a pass through, so you plug your aerial into the Sky box then a second cable goes to the TV (which now carries terrestrial and Sky). There is a third socket on the Sky box for a pass through, so you can send the terrestrial and Sky (UHF) to a second TV.
This is the setup on my parent's Sky+ and it works OK, the picture on the second box can be a little noisy, but it depends on the distance.0 -
Just had my sky+ confirmed £49 including instalation being fitted friday afternoon yipee!!!
Threatened to cancel saying on shift work cant watch programs i want to.Was offered it for£49 last week confirmed today0 -
Going to be new to sky+ & sky. Problem is my phone socket is my dinning room not in the TV room and I don't want a phone wire tacting round the door frame and along the skirting board anything I can do.
Moving the phone point is going to be too expensive, and don't think taking carpets up is such an option.0 -
