I tried threatening to cancel today but sky operator told me I can only cancel at the end of my year long contract and to ring back then (luckily this is in 2 weeks). Therefore the operator didnt even try to offer me anything. Maybe he didnt want to take the hit and so deferred me for two weeks. Didnt anyone else have this problem of being asked to ring back in the last month of the contract?

We had our sky+ installed for free yesterday, got letter this morning confirming it will be free.

ketmp - surely you can start you cancellation procedure now? Don't you have to give them 30days notice anyway? I know we did this with NTL called at 11 months so that dead on 12months we would be free from the contract otherwise you are in effect tied in for 13 months?
    Wins:-
    Jun 2009, Kajagoogoo tix, £100

well i think what u should do is go down to ur nearest shopping centre. they normally have a man selling sky somewhere. try find him/her and ask him... he will be able to gove u new customer deals... and overwite anything sky say..

becasue they work on comision they no the loopholes in sys disconnection/ connection terms and conditions.

u wil def get sky+ for free.... anymore deals its worth asking..

have a go! and good luck

  • I phoned sky last night threatening to cancel and all they offered was sky plus inc installation for £99.

I told her would they rather lose my business after 15 years to which she said they get different offers all the time and to keep trying to see whats on offer.
  • Just tried to get sky+ with no joy other than £49, they did say i can have it for free if i refer someone. The operator didnt have any friends i could refer so if theres anyone want referal pm me ;-)
