  • what subscription do new customers have to get is there a webpage explaining more?

The offer is in Currys. You are supposed to buy a TV but they don't appear to care about that and sell you it anyway.

There is no additional monthly subscription charge if you already have Sky or are signing up to a normal Sky subscription. It is £10 per month if you do not have any form of Sky subscription.

Just to let you know that I just tried to phone today and the £49 deal has now finished. The only thing the guy could offer me was to reduce my current package to £16 a month but Sky+ was going to cost me the original price of £99

does anyon know if any sky deals will come about this month? I was reading the article on the main site from a sky insider (link below) who said usually in january you can get deals like 1/2 price subscription etc.

They must have had a bumper xmas as it seems they dont need to offer deals at the moment

  • Got a call from sky this week and they were offering existing customer sports and movies free for 1 month. Asked if they had any other deals going and was told no this was the only offer at present. Took the free month option, now just need to remember to cancel after 30 days.
  • Called Sky today because my multi-room box is on its way out....not surprising considering its the original standard box they gave me in 2000.....anyway, told them I wished to cancel my whole account....thats the full tv package, HD, multi-room, broadband max and sky talk...told them i would sell my HD box and take up a much cheaper offer with virgin....the very nice scottish man in cancellations offered me either a new standard box free of charge or a Sky+ box for £49, he said there was no way i could get the Sky+ box for free so i said i would think about it.....

Called back half an hour later and was put through to a "nice scottish lady" :D...explained the situation to her and stressed that I didnt have the funds to pay the £49 now and that i would just rather cancel as Sky was showing no loyalty to a loyal customer....needless to say the engineer is coming Thursday morning to fit my NEW Sky+ box for FREE!

So thanx everyone:T it really works

Well done! We didn't have much luck with this when we tried to cancel, they just asked us when do you want to cancel from

Anyone got any tips? Is it best to try early morning? Someone said to me, they thought they only were allowed to give away so many for free?
