Well done to all of the above! I phoned two weeks ago to see what the best deal they could do for sky + and broadband. "Well, we can do that for £159 one off payment and that is a tremendous saving of £80, how does that sound?" :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: BUT that wasn't the cancellation number so I guess I have blown it by phoning the upgrade number to enquire? We are long time customers and have never threatened to cancel, only got rid of the rubbish movies. I emailed a few years ago and complained about offers for existing customers and received a lame excuse about 12 month contracts.0

If I already have sky+ for one box could I get it for free for the other sky box I have? If so how?0

I got Sky+ for free today.
Phoned up and said I was thinking of cancelling. Guy asked why. I said I miss all the best shows as I'm busy and am also looking to cut costs. He offered me Sky+ for £49. I ermed and ahhed for an age and then I mentioned if I can have some time to think and phone back. He asked what my concern is and I said that I phoned expecting to cancel and he has chucked in a very tempting offer.
I still hold back and also mention my budget is a problem as I expected to cancel Sky today and instead I will keep my subscription with the extra £49 charge. He then says he can do it for free. I respond with surprise (great acting on my part!) and said he has pulled a fast one on me as I was phoning to cancel. He said that he is only doing his job and trying to keep hold of a customer who has been with Sky for 9 years.
I gladly accepted the offer!0 -
I phoned today no reply to my email, asked to cancel as i never had time to watch the things i needed, he put words in my mouth saying yeah why pay for something you cant afford eh,

he offered it to me for £49 i said no circumstances for me it was out of my price range, sob story really lol, so he said hold on usual go speak to manager, he came back got it free woohooo

I've just phoned to cancel Sky, told them I was thinking of joining Virgin Media, because I kept missing my favourite programmes, what with having a new baby, and the lady offered ny Sky+ for around £209, said no could not afford that, she then transferred me to cancellations and the very nice lady that came on offered Sky+ to me !!!FREE!!! I am so pleased as I have tried a few times to get this offer and never succeeded. Engineer coming on Wednesday. Thank you so much for this post. Delighted:j :j :j0

No you don't have to take multiroom.
Can anyone help me? I am having Sky installed on Monday. Can I ask the Sky guy to install a sky cable/wire in more than 1 room? How much will sky charge for this? Do you think I can offer him cash and if so how much? Do you think he would accept? Thanks in advance!0 -
Phoned tonight and asked to cancel my subscription - Sky guy asked why - I said I couldn't watch the programs I liked at the time I wanted, no point having Sky etc...
Sky guy asked have I ever considered Sky+? I said yes, but too expensive, he then immediately offered me a box at £49! I said no, still too much as new customers were offered theirs for free and I have been a loyal customer for years.
I asked if he could check with his manager if I could have the box for free, Sky guy said no point asking, he'll only say the same as me (very nicely though) I said could he please try anyway?? Sky guy put me on hold for a couple of mins, came back and said Yes! Free installation and free box being installed on Fri!
Thanks OP!! Well chuffed. :j:j:j
I only pay £17 a month now so I'm not one of their best customers either.0 -
