Thankyou:T :T :T :T :T :T :T
and cheers:beer:
Phoned today spoke to a nice scotish man and I got Sky+ FREE
I told them I wanted to cancel because we were not watching it as we worked on shifts he said we could have it for £49 then we were cheeky and said its christmas and we have 3 children and need to save our money, he then went to ask his supervisor and came back to us with ITS FREE
Being Installed on Sunday
He said they want to keep your custom :rotfl:0 -
Having been told on Monday Sky+ would be £99 plus £30 installation, i phoned yesterday and was told it is now £149. I ranted and raved and said i would be cancelling...Guess what, I got a phonecall this morning, they are giving it to me for £49 - installing this Saturday. I didn't dare say no as there is a note on my account that I had been quoted £149 yesterday. They kept telling me there was no offer for FREE.0

oh and how is the cabling.. do they do it neatly???
wha do they do with the old box?
We had Sky+ installed on Monday - they also gave us a new dish. Apparently it is due to H & S as the metal pole has a tendency to rust, corode and fall off (that is what engineer told us) and therefore when they come out to install something new they are changing the dishes.0 -
I have been a sky customers for 9 years and i have tired to get sky multi room for my bedroom, the person i spoke to didnt offer me anything just the full price i am so mad at the moment as it seems to me as a loyal customers you dont get offered anything at all so i have emailed someone at sky and just waiting for a reply, and reading though some of these post some ppl have got sky + and everything for free,i just think as long loyal customers thay should also offers us the deals that new customers get, sorry im just abit mad at the moment,it doesnt really help either if u have a low income and u get afford the £100s of pounds for sky mulit room or sky +,hopefully i will get an email back for them soon, sorry about my rant x0

Hi, We have had sky for about 8 years, old dish was very weathered!! He had to drill a bigger hole into the room to get the extra cable through and it left a large hole in brick work which he filled with brown silicone, (a bit messy) when we first had it fit they put plastic plugs on inside and outside and it looked very neat.
He let us keep the old sky box and also the old dish and cable!! (which i will have to try and squeeze in my wheelie bin)

Did you speak to the cancellation team or just the sales department as the sales team wont offer you anything as I have been with SKY for nearly 3 years (not as long as you) and got told it would be £179 for SKY+ but when i phoned the cancellation team they offered me it for a one off payment of £490 -

This is the number I phoned 0808 101 4438, it's a free call from a landline but you will be charged if you use your mobile
It's an automated line and one of the options is cancelling your SKY, think its one of the last options on the list and choose that then you will be put through to the cancellation team.
Give them some story about how many kids you have and it's christmas etc... and you need to cancel sky as you cannot afford it but you have been offered SKY+ for £179 but feel its an insult or something as you have been a loyal customer for 9 years and hopefully you get somewhere
The story i used was i said i worked shifts and keep missing my programmes and cannot afford to pay £38 a month for the programmes I cannot watch but would like sky+ but have been quoted £179 which I cannot afford and got put on hold and the scottish woman came back and said i could have it for £49
You should get somewhere just think of a story before you phone just make sure they dont cut your sky off if they dont offer you anything as you can always phone back another time or night0 -

Hi, I phoned yesturday and think its awful that you have been with them so long, we have been with them for four years at this address and when I phoned up i couldnt find the cancellation option so I went through to any and asked to be put through. The first woman asked why and I said that my husband worked shifts and doesnt see the point in paying 18 a month for programmes he doesnt get to see so was going to ask his parents for a freeview box that you can record on for christmas. She then put me through to the cancelation department and I asked to give my 30 days notice and said again why, she asked if I had considered sky + and I said I didnt want this as a while ago it cost lots of money and then extra each month which is money we dont have. She then said that they have done away with the monthly cost and that they had an offer currently running for sky plus for 49.00. I then ummm and ahhhed a bit and she said let me just check how long you have been with us and then said straight away you can have it for free as your a loyal customer. So its being fitted on saturday. I dont know if its cause I got a nice woman but she didnt have to ask a supervisor, just persist and tell them you want to leave and they should lower the payment right down. Not sure if it helped but I did act a bit dumb and pretend the sky was my husbands department and he asked me to cancel.
Let us know how you get on.If you want the rainbow you have to go through the rain.
